"Y/n... I think I'm falling for you. I'm falling for you." William whispers tenderly.

Taken aback by his sudden confession, I gently take his hands away from my face, and sit up in the bed.

William sits up as well staring at me intently searching for an answer.

"W-William... we can't." I say while turning around on the bed, getting ready to leave it.

William hurries over and wraps his large arms around my small body. He squeezes me tightly. "Please Y/n. Please don't... In all of the years of my miserable life, I've never fallen so terribly hard for a girl. I l-."

"Don't say it! I can't handle hearing it! This isn't right! I know who you are, I know what you'll do to succeed in getting what you want! I'm not even from this Universe and yet here we are, sharing the same bed, you whispering sweet nothings into my ear! It's all apart of your sick and twisted game! I know what awaits me if I fall for your manipulation!" I yell out, my voice breaking in between sobs.

William buries his head into my neck, and places a gentle kiss their. "You're right. We're star-crossed lovers. We're doomed to fail. The stars are against us, and you think there's nothing we can do, but my love, you're so wrong! If I can uncover the formula for the remnant, we could live forever, the stars not having anyway of getting in our way!" He says softly, but starts yelling when he mentions the remnant.

I move quickly out of his grasp, pushing him away from me. I stand up and throw the chair in front of the door away from it so I can leave. "I will not be another piece for your sick checkers game! I will not allow you to take those lives! William!" I yell out loudly.

William stands up from the bed, and rushes over to me, placing his arms on my shoulders. He stares down at me angrily.

I look him dead in the eyes and coldly say, "I will be the one to end you William Vincent Afton." William stares down at me, his angry expression softening at my words. He leans down and presses his lips to my forehead.
