Stranger, who knows all my secrets
Can pull me apart and break my heart
A soulmate who wasn't meant to be
┘I continue running as fast as my legs could carry me to get me as far away from this place.
Once I'm off of the premises I glance back seeing the front doors opening, and William looks out searching for me with desperation in his eyes.
His eyes meet mine, staring intently at me and he calls out softly, "Please y/n."
I swallow a lump in my throat and change directions running into the woods. I had to of ran for miles, because I hadn't even noticed it was storming horribly. By the time I was done running, I could've sworn I was dying.
I seen a couple of lights come into my vision in between the trees. I start heading towards the lights seeing a 24/7 Truck Stop, and a small sigh of relief leaves my mouth.
I head into the establishment, exhaustion and fatigue hitting me all at once. I hurry over to a couch in the resting area, and curl up in a ball on it. I held my knees to my chest, as I gently wheezed, replaying the scenes that took place just an hour or two ago.
'I can't believe this is happening. I don't know what to do.. what could I possibly do to help myself in this situation? Even if I kill William and save all of those children, that's not going to change the fact that I'm still stuck here..'
My eyes started tearing up, water droplets of heartbreak sliding down my cheeks and onto my chest.
I began replaying Johaan's desperate screams as I fell down the well. 'He's probably a mess right now... I wish I could let him know I'm okay..' I glance up for a second, remembering that I have my phone. I desperately swipe at the screen opening the text messaging app. I quickly shoot Johaan a text, to my dismay the text comes back as "Not Delivered".
I start crying harder, I click on "Photos" and stare longingly at a picture of Johaan and me when we went on a road trip with all of his friends to Gatlinburg. I laugh and smile to myself reliving some of the events that took place during that trip.
My eyes became heavy, and tears stained my flushed over cheeks. I yawned quietly, and rested my head back holding the phone to my chest nestling it like it was the last thing keeping me sane.
I fell unconscious from the stress and exhaustion that I had just endured, leaving me laying on that couch, with a photo of me and Johaan on the screen.
Williams POV:
I watched her as she ran into the cold night and into the woods. I wanted so desperately to chase after her and bring her back inside to where the warmth is, but I knew she'd be long gone.
I sighed replaying the events that had taken place tonight, 'I wish you were good.' She cried while cupping her hand against my cheek. I slowly brought my hand up to where her hand would've been and nestled myself into it imagining her touch.
I began cleaning up the mess that was scattered throughout the restaurant which we had both created. I fixed the place up and then grabbed my purple trench coat, after locking the establishment up I rushed to my car feeling light rain starting to dance off of my broad shoulders.
Thunder cracks, momentarily startling me, and not because I'm scared of storms, it's because I'm concerned for her. I'm scared for her, she'll get sick... why do I feel this way? This isn't how I usually am?
I groan out loud, and pinch the bridge of my nose. I unlock my car and slam the door shut, rain starts pouring against my windshield, I flick the brights on, windshield wipers as well and start driving in search of this alluring young woman.
I find my way to this road that leads around the perimeter of the woods, I follow the road searching desperately for shelters when I find myself pulling up to a truck stop.
'This has to be where she is, right?' I ask to myself. I quickly grab an extra coat from my backseat before rushing into the establishment sheltering the coat from the rain. When I walk in, the place is desolate. I'm not seeing anybody at the front desks, or customers even getting a coffee.
It was until I hear a man quietly speaking to somebody. I peered out into the hallway to see somebody staring down intently at a couch, I began walking towards the man.
The man reached a hand out to touch something, and that was when I seen her. She was laying on the couch, curled into a ball, her clothes drenched from the storm, and clutching a device to her chest.
I rushed over to her pushing the man away, and squat down in front of her. I scanned over her making sure she was okay, that she was alive. Upon seeing she was okay, I apologized to the man for causing inconveniences and then carefully wrapped the coat around her small and trembling body.
I gently picked her up putting her head into my chest, and then walked quietly out of the establishment. I laid her down in the backseat making sure she wasn't uncomfortable, and making sure to not wake her up.
I drove to my house, the storm growing worse as we finally pulled into my driveway. I quietly closed my door, and then opened hers, gently picking her up and walking into my house.
Upon getting into my house, I carried her up the stairs and took her to my bedroom where I gently laid her onto my bed. I stared at her with sour admiration. I was uncomfortable, I'd never done this for somebody. "What is wrong with me?"
She shuffled rolling over onto her side and groaned out in pain holding her stomach. I tensed, and cursed myself in my head. 'How could I kick her? I'm fucking despicable'
I walked to the closet grabbing a large purple sweatshirt that was for work which had my last name on it.
I gently lifted her up and looked away as I took her dress off and pulled the sweatshirt over her head, she nestled herself into the large piece of clothing that covered herself like a dress.
I stood their staring at her intently, my chest became heavy, and I clutched my hand to my chest as if I were having a heart attack. I bent down to her level and smiled at her with pure admiration, "What are you doing to me, love?". I purred then planted a small kiss to her forehead in which she responded with a whimper and a small smile.
I chuckled lightly, and then pulled the covers over her, and made way to the chair sitting in the corner of the room. I picked it up putting it against the door, blocking any escapes. I sat in the chair, and watched her as she slept.
After a few hours of watching her toss and turn, I soon found myself falling asleep in the chair.
