Ramin awoke the next morning and had this bad gut feeling about Sierra. He got up threw on some clothing and decided he should go check on her. He grabbed his key and headed to her room.
"Sierra? It's Ramin. I just wanted to come in and check on you."
A very disheveled Sierra came and opened the door. Her eyes were puffy, her hair was all over the place, and she had bags under eyes. " Hi Ramin."
"Oh lord Sie.." He could tell she was crying but did not want to push for an explanation just yet.
" Ramin.. I am fine.." She could barely get it out without bursting into tears. As hard as she tried to forget the night before she couldn't. The chill in Tam's voice, the shiver it sent down her spine. Ramin pulled her close to his chest and held her tightly
" Whatever you are going through you don't need to go through this alone . I am here for you, Hadley is here for you."
" Ramin.. please... This is just one thing that I need to deal with one my own. I am so sorry." Sierra was on the verge of tears, but she didn't want him any more worried than he was. Sierra felt her phone buzz again and was dreading checking it. It was the no caller ID again with a message: 15 hours left.. time is ticking.. tick tock.... Sierra felt all the color drain from her face.
" Sie? You are as white as a ghost." He took her arm and led her over to the couch fearing she was going to pass out any second.
She stopped sobbing long enough to decide to tell Ramin what was going on. "Yesterday I got a call from my ex, Tam, he stated he is holding my best friend hostage and that I need to come back to New York and leave you behind to save her. I didn't mean to push you away but I need to do what is best for everyone.. and if that means leaving you then so be it."
" I am so sorry Sierra, you do not need to fear. I will do whatever I need to keep you safe. I love you." Ramin suddenly realized what he had just said.
" Ramin..." Sierra was too stunned to speak so she froze. Ramin had just come into her life again. Was it too soon to be dropping the L word?
" I'm sorry, I was so caught up in the moment." Ramin decided to move on, "Why don't you come stay with me for a few days so I can ensure you are safe." He would do anything to protect Sierra, even if that meant giving up some personal space.
" Thank you, let me just pack up a few things and get ready for rehearsal." She got up off the couch and headed for her bedroom.
Ramin got up and checked his phone, he had a missed text from Hadley. He stepped out onto the balcony to give him a call. "Hey Hads."
"Hey Ramin, are you with Sierra? Is she okay?"
"She is fine, but I dropped the L word to her today. I hope I did not make it awkward."
"WOW, the L word? what did she say?" Hadley was not surprised as Ramin had been in love for years.
" She did not say anything at all." Ramin had hoped she felt the same, but she was going through so much so she understood. " I got to go, see you at rehearsals."
"Ramin, I am all ready to go." Sierra grabbed her duffle bag and headed for the door. " Also I love you too."
