Chapter 15

"I'm fine! Stop fostering over me!" Ivy groan for hundred time to Bucky and Steve. "But you haven't told what really have happened. We only know Happy's version. You had to talk about it. You were harassed, Ivy!" Bucky try again. She snarl to them and slam her room's door on their noses. "LEAVE ME ALONE!" She scream frustrated. Steve force the door open and come inside with Bucky. "You have to talk about it Ivy. More than just to Tony so he can take care of charges." Steve try and reach to grab her shoulder. "We are worried about you Ivy." He say. She hit his hand away and sneer. "I. Am. Fine. Now leave me alone!" She command and point toward door. "Ivy, please talk to me." Bucky plead. She glare at him. 

"What is going on?" Three of them turn to look at door. Loki stare at men warily. "Thank Gods, Loki. Tell these assholes that I am okay." Ivy sigh in relief and wave toward Steve and Bucky. "She is fine, now get out of her room." He say and move to make their way. "This has nothing to do with you Loki." Steve answer coldly and Bucky agree, they turn to look at her again. She groan and facepalm. "It has something to do with me, if she ask for my help." Loki answer cocky and walk to stand between them. "Ivy, let me at least see the spot he hit with wine bottle." Bucky insist and move to see her better. 

Ivy take a step back and start to feel cornered. "Leave me alone." She plead and grab her head. "Ivy?" Bucky ask worried and rush to reach her shoulder while Loki move to stop him. She push everyone further from her with air magic and burst her wings in view. "DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" She roar, her eyes are bright gold. Men stare her stunned. She rapidly turn around and jump out of room to outside. Soon she is in air. "IVY!" Steve ad Bucky yell after her scared. She ignore them and speed up.

Ivy head to sea. She fly as fast as she can to get away from that situation. She grit her teeth and scream in anger. Everyone has fired her with questions and tried to see her bruise and she has dodged them everytime while trying to assure that she is okay. She didn't want to show weakness and/or that she has messed up already about something. She finally stop her fly and just float over ocean. She close her eyes and take a deep breath, letting quietness and scent calm her down. She open eyes again after some time and look down. There are dolphins swimming under her. She smile and lower herself to fly between them. She laugh aloud when they start to play around her. She admire their movements for a moment before stop from following them. She lower herself to stand top of surface and smile after them.

Ivy walk toward mainland slowly, she didn't want to go back but knew that everyone will be worried and she left Loki in uncomfortable spot. She sigh and jump in air eventually. She summon the wind to help her to get some height. She fly peacefully toward compound while putting her mind back in order. "They are probably just worried, not looking for something to blame you on." She try to convince herself. After an hour or so land come in view. It make her feel nervous but try to ignore it. She turn toward compound and speed up a little. Soon it come in view and she stop to float over it. "I have to go back." She mumble, let out a deep sigh and start to go down.

Ivy drop on front yard and pull her wings out of sight. She didn't even get on front door when it slam open and Natasha, Wanda, Clint, Tony and Steve run toward her. "IVY! Are you okay? I'm sorry about those idiots." Natasha say and hug her tightly. "Hi. I'm fine." She answer taken aback. Wanda join their hug. "We were so worried, you have been away for four hours." She mumble against her shoulder. "I'm fine. I just has to let out some steam." She explain while women pull back. "Don't scare us like that." Clint say and hug her quickly too. She couldn't answer anything. "Good thing you're back fairy." Tony say and pat her shoulder. She nod and turn to look at Steve.

Steve rub his nape ashamed. "I'm sorry, we pushed you too much." He apologize and smile. "Then leave me alone for now." Ivy answer and walk past them all inside. She still didn't like their behavior. She stomp in lounge room where Thor grab her in bear hug. "We were worried about you Lady Stormborn." He greet her quietly and let go. "I'm okay Thor, I can look after myself." She assure him and pat his arm. "Good thing you are fine Ivy." Bruce greet her from kitchen and Sam raise his glass. "Thanks guys." She answer and smile to them while walking toward her room. 

Ivy is half way between her room and lounge room when Bucky meet her. "Ivy! You are back." He greet her and smile. She nod and didn't answer or stop. "Hey..." He say and grab her wrist. She yank it away and sneer to him. "I'm sorry, I just.... I am worried and I am not very good at it." He explain ashamed. "Well I am fine and you should never come in my room without my consent again." She answer coldly. "I know. You just shut us out and.... I'm not used to women shutting me out like that, especially the ones I like." He continue. "What?" She ask in shock. 

Bucky seem to realize what he said and turn to look at her properly. He swallow and clear his throat. "I like you Ivy, You are amazing woman and I wanted you to know about that." He explain unsure while staring at her hopefully. She blink couple times and he grab her hands gently on his. "Bucky... I can't." She answer and pull them out. "I'm not feeling same way about you. You are a good guy, I know that. You are not just right one for me." She turn him down as gently as she can.

"You can't know that without trying." "Yes I can. I don't like you like that, please understand. I am not doing this to hurt you, quite opposite. You need to find some human woman." "I don't care that you are not human." Bucky try again and grab Ivy's hand. "I like you Ivy, I don't care what you are." She smile softly and take her hand away from him. "You should. Your lifetime is like blink of an eye to me Bucky, and more importantly I don't think of you like that. Forget about me in that sense. I can be part of Avengers and be your comrade but never anything more." She answer more sternly this time and take a step back. "I am super soldier, I don't age normally." He answer and take step toward her. "I can live over 9000 years from here. You can live like 70 years, top. Don't try to approach me like that Bucky. It can only hurt you." She answer and turn to walk away.

Ivy sigh in relief when Bucky turn around too and walk away. "Didn't see that coming." She murmur and speed up. She is worried about Loki and why Bucky came from that way. She walk to Loki's door and raise her hand to knock when she hear noise from her room. She frown confuse and walk to open her door. She find Loki in there, picking up book from floor. "You are here?" She ask aloud. He stand up quickly and turn to look at her. "You are back." He answer and for her surprise rush to hug her. She freeze for a moment but hug him gently back. He quickly pull back and grab her by shoulders. "Are you hurt?" He ask and look her up.

"I am fine Loki, I just had to let some steam out." Ivy assure him and smile. "I should have kicked them out as soon as I saw them in here." He blame himself coldly. "Hey." She stop him and grab his face between her hands. "You came to help me. That was way more than enough, thank you." She assure him and let go. "You sure you okay?" "I am." She answer and move to flop on her couch. "I'm just hungry." She complain. He smirk and point toward sandwiches on coffee table. She yip in delight and grab one. "You are a lifesaver." She praise him and devour first one quickly before taking the second one. "Whatever you need." He answer quietly.
