Mason's POV

When I slowly got my consciousness I heard voices in the background. I was about to sit up but someone pushed me down. What the fuck. I opened my mouth to say something however probably the same person put their hand on my mouth. Did someone kidnap me? I opened my eyes and saw Corey. I smiled because seeing him made me feel okay even when everything is not. I remembered what happened. I was lying on at least it felt like that the ground. I looked to the hand on my mouth and to the person it belonged to... Theo. He put his hand away when he saw me looking at it. Oh god he looked bad. He had broken glass and blood all over his face and a broken glass in his throat. It probably was pretty deep in his throat. It looked painful. He was obviously struggling to breath and he was in a lot of pain. If we don't get him to Deaton soon he could die. Deaton... what happened to the others? I scanned my environment. No sign of them but something else caught my eye. What was Liam doing? He was standing a couple feet away and turning around like... he was expecting an attack. My eyes widened and I swallowed. Please tell me he didn't plan on fighting while he was probably injured and without back up.

Suddenly two people who were wearing complete black clothes, leather coats, creepy black masks and both of them had a sword appeared. The swords looked like Kira's katana. Their eyes or at least where their eyes should be were glowing neon green. I have never seen something like that. But luckily I memorized the bestiarium and they also fitted the description from Kira when she told me about the nogitsune thing. I forgot how she called them but I did know what they were capable of and that they could be good or bad. It depended on their master in this case: They were most likely bad. I couldn't help Liam, neither could Theo or Corey. Fuck. We couldn't call someone. The only thing we could do right now was to stay hidden and hope that the rest finds us before they hurt Liam.

"Last chance, kiddo. Give him to me." Said a female voice. I couldn't see the girl/woman who was talking to Liam. Hold on. Who did she mean with 'him'? I didn't expect some hunter or assassin to go after me and if she didn't want Liam it means she was talking about Theo or Corey. It's more likely that someone wants Theo since the whole dread doctors thing. But I don't care who she wants. She won't get anyone from the pack. We had to call for backup but how?

Liam didn't answer. He snarled at the two... who were surrender him. Onis! That's how they are called. *little proud*

"I really wished you wouldn't be so damn loyal. But what else would the beta of the famous Scott McCall do?" asked the female voice annoyed. I honestly hate it how every damn hunter/assassin has to bring up the fact that Scott bit him. Like Liam is not just strong because Scott bit him?

"Kick your ass." answered Liam. I could hear someone (probably the female who was talking to Liam) clicking their tongue. God I needed all my strength to not yell "great answer Li!"

"You can't beat the onis. Especially not alone." I stopped smiling when the onis took their katana's out. I closed my eyes. I didn't wanna watch. I couldn't.

"He is not alone." Said a very familiar voice. Nolan. I instantly opened my eyes and smirked. Nolan had a crossbow in his hands. Thanks to Allison we knew that silver kills onis. Chris made a couple silver arrow heads and gave them to Nolan. Behind him on his left was Thalia her eyes were glowing but she wasn't on fire. Not yet. On his right was TJ and I could see her tail moving. I could see another silhouette which I assume was Brett.

"This just got a lot more interesting."  She said with an amused voice. Thalia hissed. Suddenly the oni behind Liam swung his katana in the direction of Liam's back but Liam turned around and let himself fall back. Nolan was about to shoot an arrow in the oni but the second one slapped Nolan's crossbow out of his hands. Fuck. But his crossbow never touched the floor. TJ's tail caught it and placed it back in his hands. She smirked and turned back to the oni. She let a loud snarl out then she attacked him. In the meantime Nolan looked around clearly looking for us. Unfortunately we couldn't become visible because we didn't knew if she would see us too. However Theo seemed not to care or he just had a simple death wish. He removed Corey's hand from his which meant he was visible. Was he fucking kidding? Brett saw him, grabbed Nolan's hand and walked towards us. Suddenly Theo coughed very rough. He fall back on his back and the blood that was coming out of his mouth flowed on his T Shirt. His face was turned to Brett and Nolan. Which meant Corey and I couldn't see it. They started running but stopped when suddenly a silhouette appeared a couple feet in front of them. We were so screwed if this was the female. She looked over her shoulder to Theo then she looked back at Brett and Nolan. Nolan was holding his crossbow ready to shoot an arrow. Brett showed his fangs.
