KADEN
day twenty-three
It took everything within me to prevent my inner wolf from taking over completely, because I knew nearly every detail of our future if that was to happen. And Eric being brutally murdered was a part of it.
Even though that plan was overwhelmingly tempting at that very moment, I wasn't the one to act on pure impulse.
I would rather lay out a well structured plan where every part had been mastered. That way, there would be barely any room for mistakes.
So, instead of sleeping next to my mate that night, I used every hour, every minute of the night to design a plan so that I could give Serenity the justice she deserved.
It began in my office, but not the one in the pack house, but instead the one in our own house. I rarely used it since I had one at the pack house that was made specifically for my work, but it still felt right to have a room here where I could keep certain things more private than I could at the pack house.
And I seriously doubt I could be within the same area as that fucker without ripping through his flesh with my wolf's fangs.
I couldn't get Serenity to share more information about them and what had happened in detail, other than the fact that he had choked her at that one dinner a few days ago, and that he had touched her very inappropriately.
I figured nothing else had happened before nor after that, for I couldn't find a reason that explained why she would find it necessary to keep that away from me.
So I didn't pry any further, I let it go.
Besides, I had enough information to never want to let another man, other than myself, breathe the same air as her ever again.
At some point during the night, I had mind-linked my Beta for his assistance. His grandfather was known for his partition in the writings of the werewolf laws, and Luca had always been interested in laws and order.
So naturally, if you had a situation where laws might have been broken, he was the one to call for.
Unfortunately, we couldn't find any laws that could've supported mine and Serenity's situation, but we did find one that might support Leo and Sara's.
Once we found it, we quickly made our way to Leo's cabin. I always found it curious that he chose a closed off cabin by the waters when he usually enjoyed the company of people.
