KADEN
"Where is she?!"Not even minding the fact that Julie was bearing a child, no matter the size of it, I pushed her aside and began to roam their subtle home for any kind of sign of her.
"Who are you talking about?" Julie exclaimed, already in distress by my sudden appearance
Luca quickly came down the stairs as soon as he heard his mate's distressed tone. I looked around the kitchen, the one we had all just recently resided in before we settled out in their garden, but found no trace of her.
"Kaden what's wrong?" Luca asked me, trying to calm me down by talking slowly
It did the exact opposite.
I grabbed a hold of his throat, the loss of my mate fueling every emotions within me, and pushed him into the nearest wall. A panicked scream emitted from behind me, without a doubt coming from Julie.
"Where is Serenity?!" I roared as my grip on his throat tightened by every second I wasn't made aware of her whereabouts
"For god's sake let him go!-" Julie began pulling and grabbing my arms to try and release Luca from my hold, but of course failed— "You're hurting him, Kaden!"
Not even that could snap me out of it. Not the sight of my Beta gasping for air at my hands, or the pleas and cries of Julie beside me. I would only settle when I heard the angelic sound of her voice, when I saw that darling face of hers. The mere smell of her would calm me at my very worst, and I was robbed from the only things that could calm me at the moment.
Suddenly, a fiery punch collided with my face which naturally caught me off guard, and made me lose balance enough for me to let Luca go. I rubbed the side of my face that had been inflicted by none other than Julie's own fist.
With my surprised gaze lingering on Julie, I saw her shaking off the pain in her hand as she crouched down to help her mate the best she could while he fought for his own breath.
"Fuck-" I rushed out in one single breath— "Serenity is gone"
Once Luca had finally regained his breath, they both stood side by side, with a little assistance from Julie. They stared back at me with puzzled looks, while Luca looked a little more pained than Julie.
"What do you mean gone?" Julie vocalized their confusion
"She's fucking gone! Your blabbing mouth caused us to have perhaps the biggest fight we'll ever have to face again!"
Her once confused face quickly transformed into an offended one as she stood a little taller after my accusation.
"And that's my fault?! Maybe your brilliant mind haven't thought of it, but it is in fact your own fault for losing her. She deserved to know the truth, and while I can agree that it would've been best to come from you instead of me... it was still necessary"
