"HEY ASSHOLE. GET UP." Michael yelled, pounding on my bedroom door. "YOUR DAD AND I HAVE TO GET TO WORK EARLY, LET'S GO."
"ALRIGHT. I'M UP. CHILL!" I yell back, forcing myself out of bed and dragging myself to the kitchen.
"You know, when I told him to get you up, I didn't tell him to wake the neighbors as well." Joel commented offhandedly, handing me a plate with bacon and pancakes on it.
"Well he did that too." I respond, shoving a piece of bacon in my mouth.
"I got you up, didn't I?" Micheal asks. "I say its a job well done."
"Yeah, and getting a noise complaint is totally worth it." Joel sarcastically agrees.
"Well its not the first time you got one of those." I added, earning a 'shots fired' from my youngest dad.
"Fine!" Joel exclaims, taking my plate. "No pancakes for you!" I roll my eyes and go back to my room, getting ready for the day.
A fairly boring morning routine later, I was sitting in the back seat of Joel's car. Dad usually drove me to school, but my other one doesn't because "he doesn't need a lazy ass child."
"Anything we need to know about?" Joel asked, surprising me. Did he get a call from the school?
"No, why?" I ask, staring at Michael quizzically. He either doesn't know, or ignores me.
"Just wondering." He answers, drumming his fingers on the wheel. I want to press for answers, but he was already pulling up to the high school. Damn his trickiness. "Have a good day."
"You guys too." I respond, opening the car door. You get out, grabbing your backpack and heading to the school.
