Everyday after school, I made my way to the Rooster Teeth office.
Today was no different.
I was perfectly able to walk home, except I don't like the quiet. Plus the office was closer then the house. I had practically grew up in the office. I knew everyone in the office, and everyone knew me. I usually spent my summer working there, either filming or editing. I even had a key card.
The parking lot was empty of people, but seeing as the Texan heat bore down, it made sense. I walked up to the front door and pulled out my card, unlocking the door.
"Hey Kara." I greeted the woman sat behind the desk in the lobby.
"Hello Casey." Kara returned, a little distracted. I left her to her work, not wanting to bug her. While walking down the halls, I checked my phone for messages, and saw two.
Joel: In meetings all day. Love you.
Michael: We are recording a lot of shit today. Wait for my signal.
I slipped my phone back in my pocket and headed for the break room. The break room was a great place when waiting for the Achievement Hunters to finish recording, considering someone can see the door from there.
"Is it three already?" Someone asked, who turned out to be Barbara.
"Yep." I reply, putting my backpack on a table. "How was your day?"
"Hell." Barb answers bluntly. "We have a RT short deadline twomorrow and we haven't even finished."
"That sucks. Any way I can help?"
"No, we- actually, yes. Can you punch Kerry in the stomach?"
"Say no more." I say, following Barbara.
