After punching Kerry in the stomach three times, I was sitting in the breakroom, finishing my homework. The homework was fairly simple, only math and history. I managed to finish quickly with time to spare.
Shit.
I hate having nothing to do.
I was about to pull out something from my bag when my phone buzzed.
Michael: SIGNAL!!!
I roll my eyes with a chuckle and gathered up my stuff. Hastily putting stuff in my backpack, I slung it over my shoulder and walked to the office, opening the door.
"Heyo."
"Hey, little Jones!" Geoff greeted, which was ironic considering my last name is Heyman. "How was school?"
"Good, a kid got shived in Spanish class today." I answer, making Ryan almost spit up his diet coke.
"Oh my god, is he okay?" Jack asked with great concern.
"Yeah, it was just a blunt scissor blade, the only thing he did was scratch him badly enough to draw blood."
"Your school is fucking crazy." Geoff commented. "I don't know why you let her go to that school."
"Because she can handle herself." Michael replies. "I have seen what she can do to a kid. I believe in her."
"Alright, we have shit to record, I rather not be here until two A.M." Ray says, being responsible. "Where is Gavin?"
"RIGHT 'ERE!" Gavin yells, jumping violently onto my back. I stumble forwards due to the surprising force, but I manage to stay standing.
"Gav..."
"Yes Cassett?" That was also my nickname.
"Off..." I order, and Gavin complies, slipping off my back. "Don't do that again, idiot."
"You know he will." Ryan says while his game loads. I give out a sigh of defeat and go back to the couch, were I usually sat while they recorded. I pulled out my sketch pad and just listened to their conversation.
After them playing Minecraft for two hours, they called it quits and went to the next game.
"Holy shit!" Someone exclaims, making me jump. I look to see Jon looking at what I drew in the two hours.
"What? Is something wrong?" I ask, everyone's attention except for Ryan and Ray's, who were trying to figure out the next game to play.
"No, it is just, your drawing. It's crazy good."
"Thanks." Geoff stands and looks to see your drawing.
"Nice, is that Red team?"
"Probably, I was thinking of you idiots when I was drawing." I could tell it was Sarge, Simmons, Griff and Donut in the warthog. Grif was driving, Donut was riding shotgun, Sarge was in the gunman seat, and Simmons was being dragged along by a rope attached to the bumper.
"Ha ha, very funny." Geoff replies, going back to his desk.
"But seriously, this talent." Jon gawks.
"I don't even know where it comes from. Joel and I can't draw for shit." Michael explained halfheartedly.
"Yeah yeah, we get it. Your child is better than you in everyway. We have a strict schedule to stick to if anyone wants to go home before midnight." Ryan says while putting a disc in Michael's XBox. Michael rolls his eyes and goes back to his seat. I shoo Jon away and work on my next drawing, which ends up to be Gavin screaming wildly and his clothes on fire while everyone else ignores him. When they finish the game, they came to observe the new work.
"Why did you draw that?" Ryan asked in a distasteful tone, Geoff and Michael laughing wildly in the backround.
"I didn't. I just zoned out and just drew. I use absolutely no thought while drawing."
"Sounds like Gavin, but in real life." Ray commented distractedly.
"Gavin, you can have it if you want." I offer, tearing it out and handing it to the now embarrassed Brit.
"No, I'm good." The Lad replies.
"I already ripped it out. Take it." I say with a slightly threatening tone. Gavin takes it gingerly and observes it.
"Thanks Cassette."
"Hate that name..."
