~chapter 5: fresh start~
~Y/N's pov~
We finally moved. To Russia. Not surprising to be honest. My dad is half Russian and made us learn Russian when we were young so we should be fine with the communication aspect of things.
I have a separate room than my brother now. I got to decorate it by myself now so that's pretty cool. It's gonna be weird though. I have some of my favourite bands posters on my wall along with my violin, guitar and skateboard.
Skateboard. I wonder if there's any skateparks nearby. I walk to my brother's room and ask him if he wants to look with me. He complies so I go to get changed.
I put on a patterned white shirt, my leather jacket and my blue denim shorts with tights underneath to cover any bruises that are visible. I wrap my red tartan shirt around my waist. I know people have different taste, but I'd like to think that me and my brother have style.
I grab my skateboard and walk to the kitchen with my brother, climbing through the window in order to ignore the comments from dad. Once we were outside, the breeze felt nice against my legs and blew my hair back slightly.
"I swear to god, if there's no skateparks nearby I'm going to jump in front of moving traffic," my brother said huffing. I snorted
... that's ironic
"Same brother, same," I replied, ignoring the irony of his statement. He just looked a bit confused.
Idiot.
We were just walking around anywhere, everywhere. Maintaining conversation and joking around about all the times we got in trouble in our previous school.
"OMG, remember when I pushed you into that massive puddle on the football field! You got soaked and so dirty, it was disgusting! We got put in isolation for a week!," he exclaimed, stopping to laugh every couple of seconds.
I was slightly chuckling recalling that day. It makes me almost smile, but then I remember something about that day. Thankfully, B/n was already sleeping but dad was livid at us for getting on isolation and got really aggressive towards me and mum.
Stop thinking about that shit.
I stopped
"We found the skatepark," I said, slightly surprised.
There was barely anyone here too. Just this weird ginger kid and this Blondie. I like his style actually. His makeup is really cool. Whatever, I don't want friends. And why does that ginger kid look high. Umm okay?
I align my skateboard with the ridge of the box readying myself to drop in, trying to ignore the presence that is so clearly staring at me.
~Dee's pov~
I was sitting with Heavy on a bench by the skatepark, barely anyone skates around here so it's a nice spot to go on a walk to, especially when you feel like relaxing. Well, I was trying to, but then Heavy came along.
"Whoa, they look so cool! Why have I never seen them before?" Heavy states. I look to see who he was talking about.
A boy with a style similar to mine holding a skateboard. He seemed to be laughing at something with a girl.
The girl had h/l, h/c hair. It looked really cool and went with her style too. Her style was also quite grungy. I like it. She was also holding a skateboard.
I couldn't get a close enough look at their faces but Heavy was right, for once, they did look cool. I also haven't ever noticed them before. Oh I get it.
"They're the ones that just moved to town recently I think." I said blankly.
The boy started doing ground tricks, ollies and kickflips. They looked hard to do, but they also looked awesome. I've always wanted to skateboard but never knew where to start.
The girl positioned herself above the box and dropped in. She was riding back and forth along the walls and doing small tricks at the tops until she did a 180 and landed on the ground above the box.
Wtf.
That was... awesome. I wish I could do that. Too bad. I got the smart aspects down, but physical, just isn't there.
"Hey you okay? You've been staring for a while." Heavy said, a hint of concern showing in his voice.
"what.. oh.YES, yes, let's just go," I said embarrassed. Oh god that was loud. For gods sake Heavy. I see the girl looking at me with her eyebrows furrowed and head tilted to the side as I stand up.
This is so embarrassing. I think while me and Heavy are walking home.
~Y/N's pov~
Why is he staring at me? Is it because I've got a black eye. Can he even see that from afar. I turn away from him, feeling slightly uncomfortable."YES...!" I hear. I turn back around and tilt my head, confused by the situation. What a weird boy.
The weird boy got up and left with the ginger one.
That was... an experience. I hope I never see them again.
