Edmund POV
I hear Lucy get up next door and slowly follow her around the house. We come to the spare room with the wardrobe. She opens the door and the candle is blown out. She climbs inside and I quietly enter the room behind her.
'Lucy. Where are you?' I open the wardrobe door. 'BOO!' No one is there.
'Lucy. Hope you're not afraid of the dark.' I shut the door
Silence
I'm worried now. 'Lucy? Lucy? Lucy!'
I walk backwards and trip on something. I land on my back, look up and see a clear blue sky. I stand up and look around.
'Lucy. Where are you? Lucy. I think I believe you now!'
I walk past what appears to be a lamppost and start to hear bells ringing.
'Lucy. Lucy?'
I hear a whipping sound and dive off the path before I can get hit. A small dwarf jumps out of the sleigh. As I try to run away he throws a whip around my feet and I fall over as he puts a knife to my throat.
'Oh! Leave me alone!'
'What is it now, Ginarrbrik?' I hear a female voice say.
'Make him let me go! I didn't do anything wrong!' I shout.
'How dare you address the Queen of Narnia!' Ginarrbrik shouts.
'I didn't know!'
'You will know her better hereafter!'
'Wait! What is your name, Son of Adam?' I see who I presume to be the Queen of Narnia, standing in front of me.
'Uh, Edmund.' I respond.
'And how, Edmund, did you come to enter my dominion?' She asks.
'I'm not sure. I was just following my sister.'
'Your sister? How many are you?'
'Four. Lucy's the only one that's been here before. She said she met some faun called Tumnus. Peter and Susan didn't believe her. I didn't either.' I say
'Edmund, you look so cold. Will you come and sit with me?' I join her in the sleigh.
'Now, how about something hot to drink?' She says.
'Yes, please, Your Majesty.' The Witch takes a vial and drops a green drop on snow that transforms into a hot drink. Ginarrbrik gives it to me.
'Your drink, sire.' He says.
'How did you do that?' I ask.
'I can make anything you like.'
'Can you make me taller?'
'Anything you'd like to eat?' She asks.
'Turkish delight?' Another drop comes down and turns into a box of Turkish Delight and Ginarrbrik gives it to me.
'Edmund? I would very much like to meet the rest of your family.' The Queen says.
'Why? They're nothing special.'
She starts wiping my mouth with Ginarrbrik's hat. 'Oh, I'm sure they're not nearly as delightful as you are. But you see, Edmund, I have no children of my own. And you are exactly the sort of boy who I could see, one day, becoming Prince of Narnia. Maybe even King.'
'Really?' I ask.
'Of course, you'd have to bring your family.'
'Oh.' I say, a little disappointed. 'Do you mean, Peter would be King too?'
'No! No, no. But a King needs servants.'
'I guess I could bring 'em.' I say.
'Beyond these woods, you see those two hills? My house is right between them. You'd love it there, Edmund. It has whole rooms simply stuffed with Turkish delight.' She explains.
'Couldn't I have some more now?'
'No!' She shouts. Then she smiles. 'Don't want to ruin your appetite. Besides, you and I are going to be seeing each other again very soon, aren't we?'
'I hope so, Your Majesty.'
'Until then, dear one. Mmm, I'm gonna miss you.' The Queen drives off and I'm left alone.
'Edmund? Oh, Edmund! You got in too! Isn't it wonderful?' Lucy shouts as she hugs me.
'Where have you been?' I asked, thankful she's alright.
'With Mr Tumnus.' She responds. 'He's fine! The White Witch hasn't found out anything about him meeting me.'
'The White Witch?' I ask.
'She calls herself the Queen of Narnia, but she really isn't. Are you all right? You look awful.'
'Well, what'd you expect Lucy! I mean, it's freezing. How do we get out of here?'
'Come on.' She says. 'This way.'
