Some of this chapter is copied straight from the script of the Narnia movie.

Y/N POV

I see Lucy and who I guess is Edmund (as he looks quite young) walk out of the treeline. Then (who I guess as Susan and Peter), two older people fall back into the snow. They get up from under the tree branches and look around.

I take a look at the older boy before saying anything. He's quite appealing. Blonde hair and the most incredible blue eyes, almost as blue as the sky.

'Impossible.' The older girl says.

'Don't worry. I'm sure it's just your imagination.' Lucy says. I laugh quietly.

'I don't suppose saying we're sorry would quite cover it.' The older boy says.

'No. It wouldn't.' Lucy says. She hits Peter in the face with a snowball. 'But that might!'

The boy throws one back at her and a snowball fight begins.

'Oh!'

The older girl hits Edmund in the arm with one. 'Ow!' He says as he rubs his arm. 'Stop it!' The others realize something.

'You little liar!'

'You didn't believe her, either!'

'Apologise to Lucy.' Edmund just looks at her.

'Say you're sorry.'

'All right! I'm sorry.'

'That's all right.' Lucy says. 'Some little children just don't know when to stop pretending.'

'Oh, very funny.'

'Maybe we should go back.'

'But shouldn't we at least take a look around?'

'I think Lucy should decide.' I say, emerging from where I was standing.

'Y/N!' Lucy shouts.

She runs up to me and almost knocks me over with a hug.

'Y/N this is Peter, Susan and Edmund, my siblings.'

'It's very nice to meet you all.' I say. 'So Lucy, what are doing?'

'I'd like you all to meet Mr Tumnus!' she says, looking at her siblings.

'Well, then Mr Tumnus it is.' Peter says as he goes back into the wardrobe.

'But we can't go hiking in the snow dressed like this.' Susan says.

'No. But I'm sure the professor won't mind us using these.' Peter starts handing out fur coats. 'Anyway if you think about it logically, we're not even taking them out of the wardrobe.' He says as he shoves a coat at Edmund.

'But that's a girl's coat!' Edmund complains.

'I know.'

The children walk through the woods following Y/N, laughing and looking at the lamp post.

'...lots and lots of lovely food, and we'll have lots and lots of... Where did Y/N go?'

'Y/N? Y/N!' I hear Peter yell.

'Over here.' I yell back.

The siblings run over and see Tumnus' broken house.

'Who would do something like this?' Lucy says as Edmund steps on a broken picture of Tumnus' dad. Peter gives him a dirty look before I rip a notice from the wall.

'"The Faun Tumnus is hereby charged with High Treason against Her Imperial Majesty, Jadis, Queen of Narnia, for comforting her enemies and fraternizing with humans. SignedMaugrim, Captain of the Secret Police. Long Live the Queen."' I readout.

'All right. Now we really should go back.' Susan says.

'But what about Mr Tumnus?' Lucy says.

'If he was arrested just for being with a human, I don't think there's much we can do.'

'You don't understand, do you? I'm the human!!! She must have found out he helped me!'

'Maybe we could call the police.' Peter says.

'These are the police, Peter.' I say.

'Don't worry, Lu. We'll think of something.'

'Why?' Edmund says. Everyone looks at him. 'I mean, he's a criminal!'

'Psst!'

'Did that bird just "psst" us?' Susan says. confused.

We all step outside and hear rustles from the bushes. The siblings move closer together. Suddenly a beaver appears. I recognise him, but the others obviously don't.

'It... It's a beaver.' Lucy says.

'Here, boy.' Peter says as he clicks his tongue and sticks his fingers out. 'Here, boy.'

Mr Beaver stares at him then sits upright.

'I ain't gonna smell it if that's what you want!'

I laugh.

'Shut up Y/N.' Peter says.

'Right, sorry.'

'Lucy Pevensie?'

'Yes?' Mr Beaver hands her the handkerchief.

'Hey, that's the hankie I gave to Mr Tum... '

'Tumnus. He got it to me just before they took him.'

'Is he all right?' Lucy and I ask.

'Further in.' Mr Beaver scurries off and I follow. Susan grabs Peter by the arm.

'What you are doing?!' She asks him.

'She's right. How do we know we can trust him?' Edmund says.

'He said he knows the faun.' Peter replies.

'He's a beaver. He shouldn't be saying anything!' Susan shouts.

'Relax Susan, he's a friend.' I say.

'Everything all right?' Mr Beaver asks.

'Yes. We were just talking.' Peter says.

'That's better left for safer quarters.'

'He means the trees.' Lucy says.

Edmund and Susan give each other exasperated looks. Peter shrugs, takes Lucy's hand and follows the beaver. We follow to Beaver's dam through the cliffs.

'Come on you four. We don't want to be caught out here after nightfall.'

We continue travelling under a bridge and then they see the dam in the middle of a frozen pool. Smoke rises from the chimney.

'Ah, blimey! Looks like the old girl has got the kettle on. Nice cup o' Rosy Lee.' Beaver says.

'It's lovely.' Lucy says.

'It's merely a trifle. Still, plenty to do. Ain't quite finished it yet. It'll look the business when it is, though.'
