Jaden came awake to a steady throb in his skull and groaned.
"I'd sit still there Captain Cranium." It was definetly a womans voice. He sat up and saw her sitting at her desk, writing with her back to him. "How did you know I was awake?" He asked.
"Just do."
He watched midnight black hair twist and turn as she turned to look at him. He nearly jumped when he looked at ehr eyes. One eye was a deep sky blue and the other was a greenish brown that reminded him of grass in fall. Her pupils narrowed and expanded like a cats as it reacted to the light. his gut clenched.
"You're Acerean." It was spoken as an insult.
She shook her head. "No I'm a hybrid. My mother was human and my father was Acerean."
Jaden shook his head this time. "Thats not possible. We cant interbreed."
"Well seeing as I'm sitting here right in front of you I think it is possible."
Jaden shook his head again trying to order his thoughts. "Say I believe you. What are you dooing here?"
"I came to Earth to show that our species arent that different. That we could live together."
Jaden snorted. "Nobody is going to believe you. In fact i will be suprised if they dont kill you and study your entrails."
She grimaced. "Nice imagry."
Then she smiled. "It wont matter if they do or not." As I said before I'm Nobody." The she added sheepishly. "Besides my own people dont want want me on their planet."
"Then why do you try to hep them?"
She shrugged. "I'm not fighting for the ones who dont like me."
Now curious he asked. "Who do you fight for?"
She looked up, determination gleaming in her eyes. "I'm fighting for the innocent people who might in the future bring peace to our worlds."
