150 miles south of Bogota, Colombia

"This device can access anything on the net, targeted power kill, banking, stock markets, blockchains, email..." The young Columbian, Jeronimo explained as he worked the computer. "Look south..."

Santiago pulled Elijah Clarke to the side window, pointing to the plane as it went into flames.

"Annnddddd...  I just blacked out all of Bogota," Jeronimo grinned pointing to the tv.

"His little toy can do far more," Santiago said walking back to the kid, his eyes filled with pride

"And this is the only one?" Elijah asked, walking back to the kid.

"Try to make a copy and it deletes itself, I'm the only one who can make it," The kid still held his smug grin, unaware it would be his last.

"Do we have a deal?" The proud father asked, taking a sip.

"Yeah... Yeah, I think we probably do..." Elijah pulled out his gun, shooting the kid, making the father drop his glass. Elijah turns to Santiago, shooting him in his shoulder causing the open fire.

"GET THE DRIVE! GET THE DRIVE!!" Elijah tried to grab the drive but was pulled away by his men before he could get to it. They dragged him out before the DNI could get to him.

CIA headquarters, Langley, Virginia

"We got incoming from the Colombian operative." Grady walked into Larry Marks office, franticly waving the dark folder in his hand. "He... he sounds pretty spooked. Now, he says he's got something to sell, something that could, uh, rattle our friends at the NSA." he looked at Nick Fowler sitting across from Marks. "He says he wants three million, cash, so he can disappear." Larry looks at Nick, nodding his face before turning back to Grady.

"Did he contact any other agencies?"

"He doesn't seem too patient sir," Grady replied.

"That's a yes," Nick confirmed.

"And the Colombians, they're coming for him too," Grady says, not acknowledging Nick.

"Where's he now?" Larry askes.

"On his way to Paris," Larry nodded, looking at Nick, who nodded his head, understanding what to do.

-

"Nice!" Mason 'Mace' Browne sighed, pushing the other agent's leg as he tried to kick her. Mace was another CIA agent, one of the best field agents they had. Only one of the two female field agents.

She goes towards him again, landing a punch before he pushes her back on the mats, "Come on!" She yells, kicking his knee down as he tried to knee her, making him drop. He gets up, spinning, trying to kick her again, when she catches his foot, pulling his shoulder as she pushes him down.

"No close contact, huh?" Larry announced, standing at the door with Nick watching this do down.

"They get close, they get hurt," Mace pants as she helps the fallen agent.

"Yeah," Nick nodded, "You... fight like you date," His hands digging into his pockets.

"Oh? You wanna talk about your dating history? Big guy?" She says walking towards the men.

"No one wants to talk about that train wreck," Parker sighs, walking in behind them.

Parker Kai Jones, the second half of the duo. No other female dared to stand up and ask to work on the field, Parker after Mace was the only one who had the balls to argue with Larry. Maybe that's what Nick saw in her, how feisty and confident she was. But again, it was the attitude that split them.

Oh, yeah! Almost forgot, Parker is also Nick's ex.

"You're one to talk, Ms. 'I'm too busy working to date anyone'," Nick scoffed.

"Can we not do this again, Nicholas?" Parker rolled her eyes looking at him.

"Do what, Kai?" Nick smirked, seeing Parker shudder.

"Spune-mi din nou așa, ai vrea ca mama ta să te înghită când a avut ocazia,"(Call me that again, you wish your mom swallowed you when she had the chance) She snapped back. It used to be her favorite to hear him say her name, to hear him call her by the name only he used, to hear him moan her name into her ear. But now it held too many memories, memories that pained her too much.

"Fine, then don't call me Nicholas,"

"Why? Isn't that your name? What else am I supposed to call you? Honey? Sweetie? Cuz the last time I checked we aren't dating... Or friends. So, do pray tell, Nicholas, what do you want me to call you?" It hurt Parker to snap back at him, but she also couldn't be all lovey-dovey, and she didn't want to portray a 'still not over a relationship' girlfriend.

Nick stayed silent, flaring his nostrils at her.

"Give her some credit," Mace laughed, "she had to deal with your ass on a daily basis," Mace walked to Parker, "After work,"

Mace and Parker were not the typical besties who work together and live together, but they had mutual respect for each other, or at least enough to not shoot each other. They used to be somewhat close until Parker started dating Nick, who's Mace's best friend and the only thing close to a family she had, which kinda made her bitter to see Nick date Parker. But after they broke up, Parker realized why Nick ended things, which made her not like Mace as much. Although, their main problem was probably both of them being very stubborn and dominant.

"What's so wrong with my ass?" Nick pouted, looking at Mace with hearts in his eyes. Parker's heart stung, seeing them like this. Parker never wanted Nick and her to break up but she also couldn't hold him captive in a relationship he didn't want to be in.

"Guys!" Larry stepped forward, breaking the trio up. "You guys have a job," He pointed to Mace and Nick.

Parker turned to leave, not being able to take Nick looking at Mace with the same eyes he used to look at her with.

"Did I say you could leave agent?" Larry turned to her, stopping her at the door.

"No, sir," She stood straight, waiting for him to give her instructions.

"Walk with me," He pointed to the hallway with his head, leaving the two best friends to talk.

"Am I in trouble sir? Parker asked, knowing one of the training agents must have told him about her snapping at them for getting her the wrong coffee.

"About the coffee fiasco? No," He chuckled, walking her into the hallway. "I need you to go with them on this mission," He informed, turning the corner to his office.

"Why did you just say that there?" She asked, walking in and coincidently sitting down in the chair as Nick did.

"Because they will not be knowing that you are going with them." He slid the navy blue folder to her.

"No," Parker shook her head, "Marks, you can't send me on this."

"I don't want a whole team out, this is just supposed to be a simple hand-off, but I have a feeling we aren't the only ones in this deal, so I need you to make sure we get the device no matter what, and if he does anything off, you make sure he ends up dead."

"Dead?" Parker looked up from the file.

"This is an unofficial mission, and I can't trust anyone else to do it,"

"Where am I going?" She sighed, placing the file back on the table before getting up.
