"hello daughter", tanaka waved as y/n walked towards the couch.
"hello", she sat down opposite him, "what's up?"
"i'm bored"

"what are your plans for today?", he asked
"i'm gonna meet nori and then i may meet kousuke", she lied about the last part but her dad didn't seem to mind cause it was perfectly plausible.
"nice"
"is everything okay?", she asked, cause he seemed deep in thought about something rather than being his generally energetic self.
"yeah... yeah...", he nodded, "uh.. do you think your mom is avoiding me?"
she seemed surprised, shaking her head.
"i don't think so, why??"
he sighed, frowning. "i don't know... lately she seems kinda... she's lost interest in our marriage"
"did something specific happen?", y/n was way more concerned now, "did you guys have a fight??"
moments of agonising silence followed.
"yesterday i texted her while she was at work and she responded without any heart emojis."
"bye dad"
"y/n! this is serious!", he exclaimed
"you scared me!! i thought you were gonna get a divorce!!"
"why would you think- that's insane!!"
"i know! that's why i was scared!!"
the front door swung open and in walked her mom, confused by the conversation without context.
"who's getting a divorce?", kiyoko questioned
"no one", both of them chorused.

"it feels like we haven't hung out in forever", nori remarked when y/n walked into her room, "what's been up??"
she smiled, sitting down in front of her. "nothing much"
"how are things with kousuke??", she questioned with more interest.
"interesting", y/n shrugged. "what are you doing?"
"i was just reading this article about... did you know EJP raijin got a new coach?", she questioned, "and he is fucking hot."
y/n shifted closer to her to see the screen that was open in front of her. and there he was. suna rintarou. the newly appointed coach for a senior team in the V league.
"he's not bad", y/n stated, realising that nori would want a reaction from her. "how do you know this? you don't even watch volleyball"
"it's everywhere", nori chuckled, "people can't stop talking about his pretty face"
y/n thought about how that pretty face was buried in between her legs a few days ago.
"twitter literally can't believe it", nori giggled, and y/n opened the app to see suna rintarou on the trending page.
