"okay suna, you drive", atsumu shrugged, "it kind of feels like it's gonna rain anyway"

kousuke gave y/n a knowing look when they left the house.

"hi rin", she said quietly as they walked out of the miya house and into the driveway.

"hi miss y/n", he nodded, his hand brushing her back to he steer her in the direction of his porsche 718 spyder.

this car was different from the one she'd been in with suna the last time. that one was a BMW X4. this car was white and way lower than the earlier one.

suna opened the door for her, making sure she was settled before closing it shut. when he got in next to her, he let out a small huff of air.

"how was your date?", she blurted, making him look at her in utmost surprise.

he opened his mouth to say something and then shut it again.

"i-it's a genuine question", she clarified, "because miya-san mentioned tsuchiya-san and-"

"i don't consider it a date", he finally said, his hand resting on the gearshift as he looked at the road in front of them.

she nodded, not asking for more details.

"nene isn't looking for a relationship right now", he explained, "and neither am i, honestly."

"hmmm", she looked at him and then back ahead.

"we're friends though", he shrugged, "i've been friends with her for a long time. and also her mentor, of sorts."

"cool", she said, hoping it didn't sound dry because it was not her place to be bothered by what he did.

"anything else?", he questioned, a hint of a smile on his face for the first time that night, "how was babysitting with your little boyfriend?"

"he's not...", her voice trailed off as his hand reached for her thigh, "...my boyfriend"

"yeah?", his thumb brushed the skin of her thigh and she exhaled. his gaze shifted to her for a second and she nodded.

"we're pretending cause... he's-", her breath hitched as his hand inched higher up her skirt, "-seeing someone"

they were barely out of the lane when it began to rain. the sky was dark with flashes of lightning.

"thanks for driving me", she whispered, staring cautiously at the rain that was slowly gaining momentum.

he nodded, "you don't look okay"

"no no it's just...", she assured, breathing unevenly, "driving in the rain is stressful"

"it's better than getting soaked at a bus stop", he stated, but sensed that she was tensing up. she nodded anyway.

there was soft music accompanying the sound of the rain hitting the windshield. the music seemed to put her a little more at ease.

she breathed a sigh of relief when they stopped at a signal.

"y/n"

"hmm?"

"look at me", rin's voice was compelling, hand resumed brushing over her thigh.

she looked into his greyish yellow eyes apprehensively. and then hers fluttered shut.

his lips met hers softly, hand holding the back of her neck.

"rin...", she whispered, pulling away for about a millisecond before their lips met again. the sound of the rain on the car got more aggressive but he was doing a good job at distracting her.
