I get in my taxi and head to the airport, I handed the keys to the landlord just before I left and said my last goodbyes to everything in Brighton, well I didn't have to say goodbye to actual people because I had no friends. which is quite sad when you say it like that.
I get to the airport and sort my luggage out, it was quite a lot considering I was moving out to Bali for good but it was okay. I go through security and all the boring stuff at the airport which I haven't actually done by myself but I did it. just about.
I have 1 hour and a half till I have to board my flight so I ate breakfast in this cafe and it was beautiful. very modern but still amazing. It gave me some inspiration of what I wanted my bakery to look like, I wanted it to be a tad modern but also a dash of baby blue and pastel yellow. I was so excited to decorate it how I wanted to.
I buy my self some snacks for the plane because I do get quite plane sick sometimes and snacks always calm me down.
I start to board the plane and do everything I had to do. I look at my plane number and it was F21 and it looked like there was one other person sitting next to me, that's what it said on my email I got sent.
I find F21 and don't even look to see who is on my row, just focussed on putting my hand luggage in the thing up above, but it was harder than expected because how heavy it was.
then I hear someone go "hey, do you need some help with that?" I look down and I was shook. It was this browned hair boy, who was the same age as me. he had dark brown eyes and freckles. I just stared. Taking all of these features in from this guy I've never met before.
"helloooo? hello?" someone waves their hand in front of my face, then I realised it was him. I come back to reality, which was quite embarrassing considering I was just staring at him for a while. probably scared him. anyways.
"oh yeah, um- sorry, yeah if you don't mind" I say relating back to my luggage that I still couldn't put up because of how heavy it was.
he gets out of his seat to put my luggage up and I take a seat on the row while he sits back in. It was quite embarrassing because of how easy he put my luggage up, I could hardly lift it up over my head.
"thank you, I shouldn't have packed such heavy stuff" I slightly laugh at the end looking back at him while I was trying to get comfy in my seat.
"ahh, no worries. anytime." he smiles at me. doing the same I was doing earlier actually. staring. I'm not sure why though.
I take my book out and try to read to distract me from the plane taking off, because when I tell you I'm scared of planes and flying. I'm scared.
I try and focus on the book but when I have it in front of me I cannot focus at all and I'm just staring at my feet with my leg bouncing like crazy and my hands shaking because how nervous I was.
"you flight scared as well, don't worry, I am as well. believe it or not. I fly a lot to see my family so I'm not as nervous as I was a couple of years ago. I guess the more you fly the less nervous you get" the boy next me says, knowing I was really nervous smiling while saying it.
"yeah, just a little bit" i slightly laugh. "I don't really fly that often so that's probably why I'm so nervous, I don't know what about
It makes me so worked up to be honest" I say back to him. Then realising we were already in the air, all that talking distracted me from being nervous."you did that on purpose didn't you? Distracted me so I wasn't so scared?" I slightly smile, knowing that's what happened. I mean, it worked.
"I did. knew it would work, and it did" he says looking back at me smiling.
I smile back. 15 hours and 30 minutes to go.
