"I mean it's obvious, right? A family heirloom. I mean what better place to hide a message? He had to know it was gonna get back to me, right?" John B asks Pope who was sitting beside me, dangling the compass in front of him
"Yeah. It's possible." Kiara tells him, no longer crying
"It could also be possible that your concocting wild theories to help, you know, deal with your sad feels." Pope suggest, saying what we were all nervous to say earning a glare from Kiara
"Bro, you know how I process my sad feels. Dank nugs and the stickiest of ickies. That's how I do it." JJ says
"I'm not concocting, okay? My dad's trying to give me a message." John says irritated
"If it helps you believe, John B." Kiara says comfortingly"Look, I-I don't need a therapy session, okay? Look I'm not trippin' out." John B scolds
"I mean I think we all need some therapy after this." I mutter, leaning my head on the window beside me"It's okay to trip, bro, but-"
"Look, my- my dad is missing, okay? Missing." John B interrupts JJ
"You don't know what it's like to have the person closets for you vanish, and then have no idea what happened. Just wake up every morning wondering." John B tells us, trying to steady his voice as he speaks
"It's been almost a year." Kiara points out softly
"Hey, he could have been kidnapped. That's definitely a possibility." JJ suggests
"Yeah, could be in a Soviet sub getting interrogated by the KGB somewhere." Pope adds on
"Absolutely. Uh... or Atlantis." JJ continues
"JJ." Kiara chides
"Look, what do you think this message is? Kiara asks John
"Redfield. Redfield Lighthouse. That's my dad's favourite place." John B says, driving past the lighthouse sign
We all step out of the van and look on at the closed lighthouse.
"Right. You're gonna lost up and look out for bogeys, okay?" JB tells JJ
"Wait...why me?" JJ asks him
"Because you're not coming." Pope says
"Why?" He asks again
