Authors note: I decided to move the prom chapter to after the tournament. This is starting the morning of the All Valley.

~~~~
I wake up the morning of the tournament determined. I'm gonna kick ass today. I'm going to prove myself to everyone that thinks they can take advantage of me. I'm a winner.
I braid my hair into two braids that stop at the bottom of my scalp and lead into pigtails. I do my makeup and I look great. I feel great, I'm energized.
Justin stands at my door looking nervous, "Good luck today."
I look at him, "Aren't you coming?"
"No," he shakes his head. "I don't want to watch you fight. You've become too intense. I don't like it." Whatever.
I scowl at him, "Then stay home." He walks away as I finish getting ready. I pack my bag and eat an egg sandwich for breakfast. My phone dings and I pick it up to see a text from my mom, "Good luck today. I love you. Sorry I can't be there." She had to work today.
I exit my apartment and start the walk to the tournament. Piper offered to drive me there but I wanted to walk, it's nice out. I'll probably get there in about 45 minutes. It doesn't take long and Im
almost there. It's still early in the morning so it's kind of dark out as I turn down into an alleyway. I know that sensei Silver and Kreese have prepared me if anything were to happen, but I involuntarily start walking faster anyways. It doesn't matter though, because I get slammed against the wall halfway through.
"Hi there," some dirty guy has his hands on my shoulders. He looks to be about late 20s. I smash my head into his face which makes him let go, and then I punch him in the face. I turn to run the rest of the way only to run into three of his friends. They grab me and push me into the wall again. I struggle as much as I can but it's no use. The guy who originally came up to me walks back in front of my face, "You're gonna get it now."
They punch and kick me until I can feel the blood dripping down the side of my face. It's not long, maybe two minutes? But that's all they needed. They run once I curl into a ball, trying to protect my head. I'm left alone in this alleyway, refusing to cry. I stay there for what feels like an hour before finally rolling over. I walk over to my bag and grab my phone from the pocket. I'm late, it's now 10:20 and I was supposed to be there at 10. Tory has called me about 20 times. I text her that I'm coming and start to walk the rest of the way.
Everything hurts. My legs hurt to move and my feet hurt to step on. I look down to see that my arms are covered in blood, and when I press my fingers to my face they also come away red. It feels like every bone in my body is bruised. Silver has texted me to meet him at the back of the building, probably to yell at me for being late. I walk around the back and he's standing there.
"Shit," he runs up to me when he sees me. "What happened to you?"
I shrug, "I got beat up by four guys." My words come out fuzzy and it hurts my jaw to move.
"Don't talk," Silver grabs my arm before pulling me into the building. There's a wheelchair washroom near the entrance that we go in so nobody sees us. He quickly pulls me in and grabs a towel out of his karate bag. He turns to me, "I'll wait outside, try and clean yourself up."
I stumble over to the mirror and sort of fall into it. I look up to see that I look like Carrie after the blood gets thrown on her. There's barely any skin that isn't covered in blood. I'm lucky that nobody saw me. I strip and wet the towel, then start to work on cleaning my body. Silver knocks on the door about ten minutes later. "You okay?" I change into my Cobra Kai outfit before opening the door. He steps inside, "How do you feel?"
