Episode 2

Sam's family was great. They were nice people, her dad might be a bit self absorbed but it's okay. He told me all about his car dealership and his karate championship. It was pretty cool.

We spent the whole night talking. Sam decided to throw a pool party tomorrow because her parents wouldn't be home so she invited all her friends. They're going to introduce me to everyone there, I'm so excited. I really hope it's not Dean though.

The next morning came quick, Sam let me borrow one of her bathing suits so that I didn't have to run home. Yasmine and Moon got here before everyone else. The next people to show were a bunch of girls they introduced me to, and then just my luck, Kyler and his friends showed up. No Dean though, that's good.

Sam jumped up from where we were sitting to go say hi to Kyler. Yasmine looks over at me, "She so likes him. It's cute."

"Does he like her back?" I ask.

"We think so," Moon says. "He has talked to a lot of girls before, but he definitely shows a lot of interest in Sam."

Sam comes running back, dragging Kyler with her. "Kyler this is Riley. She's joining West Valley tomorrow."

I'm about to tell them that we've met before but Kyler speaks up before I can, "It's nice to meet you, Riley. I think I saw you at orientation day? I can show you around the school tomorrow before home room if you want."

Sam jokingly hits his arm, "I've already called dibs on showing her around, you can join us though."

Kyler laughs, "Nah it's cool, I won't interrupt your girl time."

Realizing that I haven't actually spoken yet, "It's nice to meet you too." I can't bring myself to be very nice to him after what happened at the mini mart.

"I'll talk to you later," Kyler says to Sam and goes back to his friends.

"Isn't he sweet?" Sam says to us.

"Yeah, totally."

Once everyone got here, the party really started. It was so fun, all their friends were nice. They seemed to be that fake type of nice though, most of them talked a lot like Yasmine. I did like Yasmine, I just knew her type.

Some boy called out, "Yo check me," and we all watched as he did a flip into the pool.

Sam turns to Yasmine, "Okay you were totally right, this is so much fun."

"Told you," Yasmine replies. "Always better to be the one throwing the party. And Kyler has been eye banging you all day." We all turn to see Kyler obviously staring at Sam. She smiles and looks down nervously.

Moon gets up suddenly, "Hey Rory, do your flip again I wanna get it for my channel." Oh yeah, speaking of, Sam showed me Moon's channel last night. It was so cool! She had all these yoga videos, outfit videos, and videos speaking about feminism. I love Moon already.

Rory cheers as he does a turning flip into the middle of the pool. We were all clapping so none of us notice Daniel walking into the backyard. "Hey hey hey, what the hell is going on here?"
