You reminded me of snow.
Of winter time curled up by the fire place.
Of frozen lakes, ice cracking above freezing depths.
There is a duality in you that is both beautiful and destructive.
Think avalanches and snowflakes.
Your heart blackened, yet still whole and beating, a rhythm that never falters.
A soft shape with harsh lines and even harsher thoughts.
There is beauty in a touch so cold.
A harsh cruelty that leaves knees weakened and souls left condemned.
That feeling of bittersweet unease building until all I can see is snow.
Whether it comes in the form of avalanches or snowflakes, it is the same sweet snow.
Both beautiful and destructive.
