Serendipity

Chapter 1

The voice of hen boomed in the room and a groan of protest escaped her lips. Ah! It isn't a real hen but the sound of alarm, which is capable of waking up the whole house but not Riya Mishra.

"Riya!!" Shouted Sudha at her lazy daughter. After 21 years it is like a daily routine for her.

"I'll wake her up maa." Said Ujjwal, Riya's 27 year old brother.

"Thank you so much beta." Sudha smiled at her sweet son. But what she didn't knew was that her raj dulara beta was planning some mischief in his mind.

Nodding at her Ujjwal left for his mission. Mission Irritate Riya.

After entering her room he took the water bottle from the side table and called out for his sister.

"Riya." No response.

"Riyaaa." He dragged her name.

"Bhai irritate mat karo. Sone do na." Groaned Riya who was already annoyed by her brother's behavior.

"Thik hai,lekin phir mujhe mat kehna ki maine nahi uthaya." He warned and took a gulp of water from the bottle.

"Matlab?" She asked and removed the blanket from her face but was kissed good morning by splash of water.

"Bhaii!!" Riya shouted horrified by the little trick he pulled out.

"Kya hua?" Sudha came running along with her devrani Puja.

"Mummy bhai ne pani gira diya muh pe" Riya whined like a six year old girl.

"Ujjwal" Sudha gave her grown up son a disbelieving look, who smiled so innocently like he didn't do something childish a few minutes ago.

"Bhabhi inn dono ka toh chalta hi rahega, chaliye warna nashte mein der ho jayegi." Puja laughed lightly shaking her head.

"Kon kahega inhe dekh k ki ye dono 27 aur 21 saal k hai. Harkate abhi bhi bacho wali hai" Sudha said in a disapproving tone and left the room.

After their mom and aunt left the room Riya glared at her older brother who was trying really hard to control his laughter.

But looking at the angry and wet face of his younger sister he couldn't control himself and burst out laughing.

"Bilkul bheegi hui billi lag rahi hai." He said laughing harder.

"Aap ruko." Riya jumped out of her bed and pounced at Ujjwal.

"Acha,sorry,sorry!!" Ujjwal said catching up his breath and just when Riya loosened her hold on his shoulders he shouted. "Bheegi hui billi nahi bheegi hui chudail lag rahi hai." He sprinted out of the room laughing, again.

Riya stomped her foot on the floor and went out of the room to brush her teeth.
