Chapter 16

The two girls squealed in delight deafening the others in room. Sanju and Riya crashed with each other the way waves of ocean crash with the shore.

"Oh my god. It feels great to see you after days and we have a lot of things to catch up on. But first," Sanju looked at Ujjwal and Rina who were lounging on the bed. "Congratulations bhai and my soon-to-be Bhabhi." Sanju gave them a full blown smile with her bone crushing hugs. She was genuinely happy for them. She knew Ujjwal for as long as she knew Riya.

Sanju always wanted a brother. She wanted to feel the protectiveness of a bhai and she found one in Ujjwal. She found sisters in Ruchi and Prachi and a soulsister in Riya.

Sanju was a single child with her mom being divorced. The Mishra family completed her and for Riya, Sanju was a companion that can never be replaced. She was that piece of puzzle which fits perfectly in her life. She is the sweetness of her life.

"Now where is that Rakhosh?" Came the awaiting question. Sanju and Raj always had a hate but still in love relationship. They were both Riya's closest friends and often fought for the title of 'Best Friend'. Though now they are both much more mature and understanding it feels amazing to taunt each other.

"Hello to you too Sakhchonni." Raj simply just liked to tease Sanju and it was really fun to see her sulking like a child. Riya always consoled them with her words and actions.

After giving each other warm hugs with a few teasing words here and there they settled down for a few games.

They played Dumb Charades and Truth & Dare. They talked and laughed while eating and drinking. And after a few hours when it was 1AM they settled down for a movie.

Ujjwal and Rina were cuddled up in a blanket with each other on bed. But they had most of their attention on each other.

Ruchi and Prachi were sharing a blanket and watched half of the movie with half closed eyes.

Rohan was snuggled up on the love seat. Riya was sitting with Raj on the left side and Sanju on the right, on the carpeted floor. In an Indian home this sight is pretty normal.

As the movie came to an end, almost everyone was already asleep. Ujjwal switched off the TV with remote and went into his dreamland after kissing Rina on her forehead.

Ruchi was already snoring softly with Prachi sleeping with slightly parted lips. Rohan was sleeping with his head almost hanging off the couch and Sanju was hugging Riya's teddy with all her might.

While the room was emerged in a peaceful silence, Raj was admiring the beauty by his side who was holding him like a Koala.

He was taking in every inch of her form. The way she tangled her legs with his. The way her small hands gripped his t-shirt. The way her luscious lips form a pout. The way her long eyelashes touch her soft skin.

You love her. His heart whispered softly in his mind. And then he finally accepted.

I love Riya.

I love my little girl.
