Ch. 7 Attack of the Lady Manager

I groaned as I walked towards the host club. I was a little late but I had a reason. An old friend from my past resurfaced into my life and fled some where unknown to me after yelling at me about some sim game called...

Nevermind.

I sighed and put in my headphones as I continued to walk. I had honestly thought I'd never see this girl again after I had left France, but no. She had to come to Japan for a reason unknown to me.

Being lost in my thoughts again, I walked straight towards the host club's doors when I realized I need to take my headphones out. As soon as they were out though, I heard the club in chaos on the other side of the door.

"OTAKU!" Hikaru yelled.
"OTAKU!" Kaoru yelled after him.

I opened the door and saw the club freaking out. Tamaki and the twins were running in circles yelling nonsense, Kyoya looked like he was clueless, and the others were confused.

That's when I saw what the problem was. But I decided to freak the twins out more. "What's so bad about us Otakus?" I stated as I revealed myself.

"KAT-CHAN'S BEEN INFECTED!" The twins yelled as they ran away from me.

"Kitty! You're in this club too?" Renege screeched as she tackled me in a hug.

"Yeah- Ren- c-can't-t b-breathe," I heaved as she death hugged me.

She giggled and pulled back. "Same old Kitty!"

I smiled lightly and rubbed the back of my head, "It appears so."

The rest the club stopped and looked at us in shock. "Wait a minute! You know her?" Tamaki and the twins yelled.

"Uh, yes. I-"

Tamaki grabbed me by the shoulders and started to shake me, "How do you know this psycho?"

"Which one are you referring to? Because I see two in this room," I replied with sarcasm dripping off of my words.

Lightening seemed to strike him and he went to his emo corner. "Now let me explain this. I know Renege from when I lived in France," I said casually as I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Oh. But-"

I raised my hand and cut the others off. "I'll answer the other questions later. Now Renege," I started as I turned to her," what are you doing here?"

She looked from me to Kyoya and smiled, "I'm here to see my beloved fiancé!"

I felt my heart sink for some reason as she said those words. I sighed and turned away from both her and the others. "If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go to the gardens."

"But Kitty why?" Honey asked as he ran over and clung to my waist like a young child would do to his mother or older sister.

I looked down and ruffled his hair. "To practice my violin routine."

He smiled and let go of me as I headed towards the doors. "Kat can I come with? I haven't heard you play in years!" Renege yelled as she tried to follow me.

"No Renege. I'm sorry but you cannot. I'm still practicing this new piece," I said as I paused at the doors. Before anyone else could stop me, I continued down the halls and to an exit.

~Time Skip~

I sighed as I put the instrument down. I had twirled around the garden and played my emotions out through music. I had been playing for a long while now and the hours had slipped by me.

As I started cleaning the violin and putting it away, I heard foot steps coming my way. I quickly finished up and turned to see Haruhi.

I smiled lightly and she came over to be as I sat down. "So what got you all worked up Kitten?" She asked as she joined me.
