Ch. 9 Kitty's Sick Day

"Hello Mrs. Flora. It's," I paused and sneezed to the side, "Katherine Knight. I'm calling to inform the school that I will be out for the day. I came down with a cold."

Mrs. Flora sighed on the other end and wished me a quick recovery. I put the phone down as I started to cough even more. "Damn cold," I thought as I went into a coughing fit.

~Mean while at the Host Club~

"Where's Kitty?" Honey wailed as he raced around the club room looking for said girl.

The others who where present looked around as Kyoya stopped writing in his note book. "She wasn't in class today..." He mumbled lowly as he picked up his phone.

"Excuse me, I need to make a call," Kyoya said as he left the room leaving Honey and Mori alone while the others came in.

When Honey saw Tamaki he cried, "Kitty's missing!"

Tamaki stopped mid-step with the twins when they were pestering Haruhi when they heard this.

"What?" Tamaki said quietly as Honey started to cry.

"KITTY IS MISSING!"

Tamaki looked as if someone had stolen his teddy bear and started to run around the room. "Alright men! This is operation save Kitty," he yelled as he stopped and started to move frantically.

"Someone has one of daddy's little angels and she could be in trouble!" He yelled as Kyoya entered the room.

"WE MUST GO SAVE HER!" Tamaki yelled as he shoes the entire Host club out of the room and towards a car.

~Mean While at Kat's House~

"Sebastian, I'm fine. Stop being a worried older brother and let me make my own damn tea," I groaned as my sibling tried to keep me out of the kitchen.

Sebastian looked at me with a raised brow and smirked. "Because a fine girl would have bed-head and snot dripping down her face," he responded sarcastically as the front door started to rattle.

We both looked towards it. "What was that?" I asked as Sebastian smiled.

"It was probably nothing," he started as he blocked the exit to the kitchen, "you can make your tea Kat, I'm going to go tend to the garden."

I gave him an exasperated sigh as I put the kettle on the stove and let the water boil. "But what was that mysterious rattling noise?" I asked myself as I heard high-pitched screaming.

I listened carefully but soon, the nosies stopped. I sighed as I coughed again.
"Why? Why today of all days?" I yelled as Sebastain came back into the kitchen dusting his hands off.

My sibling looked at me as his raven locks flowed over his eyes. "What was so important about today Kitty?" He asked as movement by the windows started to catch my attention.

I furrowed my brows as Sebastian closed the curtains. "Today I had planned something for the host club, but I guess it can be postponed." I replied with a sigh as the tea kettle started to whistle.

I shrugged as I made my tea, but soon heard the curtains faintly open. Looking from the corner of my eye, I saw Sebastian glare out the window and the faint sound of shrieks of terror.

I stopped and looked at him quizzically. "Brother dear...what is going on?" I asked as I turned to face him with my arms crossed.

Sebastian turned to me and smiled one of his fake smiles. "Oh nothing Kitty, just go back to fixing your tea."

I cocked my brow at him and grabbed my cup and left the kitchen. "What ever helps you sleep at night Sebby!" I called over my shoulder as I walked down a hallway and turned to the patio doors.

I grabbed my journal that I had left on the table by the doors and headed towards them. "Hey Sebby! I'm going to be reading outside," I yelled over my shoulder.

I heard a muffled yell and took that as his response as I walked out to the gazebo. I smiled lightly as a light wind swept over the pathway and let the leaves dance across the sky.

I was halfway to the gazebo when I heard a branch crack. I stopped in my tracks and looked around.

"Sebastian I swear I will not hesitate to flip you this time!" I called out as more twigs broke. I looked at the main source of the sounds and saw seven heads crouching in a bush.

Before I could say anything I started to cough again. But this was a sudden cough attack that came out of no where, and having my hands full, I was forced to drop my tea cup and let it shatter into a thousand pieces.

"KITY-CHAN!" Honey yelled as he jumped from the bush and brought me to my knees. I was still coughing but yelped as a small piece of glass cut my knee.

"H-Hon-" I started but couldn't finish. I motioned to him and the others as they rushed out to go to the house.

Honey, Haruhi, the twins and Tamaki nodded and ran to the house as Kyoya and Takashi stayed behind. Kyoya moved the broken pieces of glass away from my hacking form as Takashi placed a hand on my back.

I finally stopped coughing after several minutes and looked at my knee. "Oh...look at that...that's blood," I casually remarked as Kyoya walked over to me and picked me up bridal style.

"Kat, we're sorry for imposing on you on your sick day but the others thought you were kidnapped," Kyoya stated as he walked towards the house with Takashi trailing us.

I laughed. "T-They thought I was kidnapped? They could have asked Mrs. Flora what happened to me."

Kyoya looked down at me and I looked at him. "Why is it when you're hurt or sick you're still able to joke?" He asked as I smirked.

"Well life would be boring if we didn't laugh about situations like these. Besides, it helps lighten the mood," I replied as we finally made it back to the house.

"Kitty! Help!" The others yelled as Sebastian was about to swat at them.

"Sebby! They're friends!" I called as he accidentally hit Tamaki across the face.

He stopped and sighed. "Alright."

~Time Skip~

The warm water hit my skin as it rained down upon my body. The cuts had been cleaned and I showed the others to the living area and told them to wait while I showered and changed.

I started to lightly hum around the end of the shower when the door opened. I didn't hear it but I stopped the shower and pulled a towel down from the rack and dried off behind the curtains.

But when I opened them, the steam whooshed around me and the other. I stopped and stared wide-eyed.

"Y-Y..."

"Kitty it's not what it-"

"YOU LITTLE PERVERTS! GET THE HELL OUT OF THIS BATHROOM OR SO HELP ME GOD I WILL SKIN YOU BOTH ALIVE!" I screamed as I started to hit the twins.

"Ow!" They yelled as I shoved them out and slammed the door.

I growled and listened through the door as they ran away. "You guys sent us to the wrong room!" They yelled.

I growled and got dressed into a pair of shorts and an oversized sweater. I then quickly pulled my hair up into a messy bun and ran out the bathroom.

"YOU'RE ALL DEADMEN!" I yelled as I raced to the living area.

~Time Skip~

"Bye Kitty! Get well soon!" Tamaki and the others -excluding Mori and Kyoya- yelled as they were driven off.

"They're going to be the death of me," I sighed as I waved back to them.

"Kat. What did you do to the twins?" Sebastian asked as we turned back towards the house.

"I-," I paused and sneezed to the side, "made them promise to grant me three favors to avoid trouble."
