I KEPT MY HEAD DOWN FOR THE REST OF MY MORNING CLASS. It felt like I wasn't even there because I barely spoke, barely moved, barely breathed. I did the bare minimum to survive but tried to make myself as invisible as possible.

When the bell rang indicating that it was lunchtime it felt like the noise was cracking my skull in half. I stayed in my seat staring at my desk until I was one hundred percent sure everyone had left the classroom. It was then that I started to breathe normally and felt as though I could move freely. I clenched my hands into fists before standing up and walking toward the cafeteria. If it were up to me I wouldn't have gone there in the first place, but I needed to find Gorya and let her know that I was okay.

I carefully maneuvered around the students in the hallway before heading to the cafeteria. Thankfully nobody seemed to mess with me as I walked to the cafeteria because of what happened yesterday. Nobody wanted to be on the wrong side of MJ.

I kept my head down as I entered the cafeteria. I found my usual small space to the side where I stayed waiting for Gorya to show up. I kept my mouth quiet as I waited for her until I felt someone tap my shoulder. My head snapped up and I saw the boy from yesterday and my class staring back at me with that same sickly smile. I felt myself take a step back away from him moving my arm away from him. He took one step forward and moved so close to me that I could see the smallest scar on his face.

"watch. your. back" He said

Suddenly he moved his arm around me and reached behind me to grab an apple. I felt myself tense up and begin to shake before he walked away. I didn't move from my spot while I tried to catch my breath. I couldn't freak out, not here and not right now. There wouldn't be anyone to comfort me, people would know they already broke me, and it wasn't worth my tears. I just stayed still taking deep breaths.

"Sunny, Sunny!" I heard someone shout

I told myself that I had to get myself together now or else Gorya would get herself in more trouble because of me. When I felt as though I could put a smile on my face I stepped out of the shadows in the corner and found Gorya. She was running full speed at me with her arms open before throwing them around me.

"Sunny. I was so worried, where were you?" She asked
