I opened the door leading to the bar area. The heavy odor of beer and spirits pieced my nose. I wasn't a fan of alcohol.

I sauntered past tables with drunken lunatics sitting at them. The bar has used to be a large, elegant dining room, but since their invasion, it has been turned into a hideaway. I was searching for a woman in blue. My eyes scanned the bar, paying attention to the faces around me. The faces were laughing, communicating, drinking, all the same. Except for one.

I spotted her.

I started walking towards her, adjusting my attire as I went. She locked eyes with me, watching me as I sat down in the seat opposite of her.

"Do you have what you promised?"

She took a sip of wine from the drinking glass in front of her.

"Yes. I do. If you would not mind, I would like to ask a question about it."

"Go on."

"Why is this item so important to you?"

"...Some doors are better left closed, m'lady."

She reached down into her bag, revealing a small wooden box with the initials "D.T." engraved on the lid. I thanked her for her cooperation, stashed the box in my satchel, and swiftly exited the room.

I walked down the hallway, my speed increasing. This was it. I finally had my hands on it. I ran out of the back door and into the courtyard. I opened the box.

Inside was the aquamarine necklace decorated in gold and silver. The necklace I had been looking for.

I had done it.

A/N: I think this is the longest story name I've created-
I legit imagined the whole layout of this person's whereabouts and the building-
