4 days later.
Max and Charles had been calling every night for the past few days. Charles had to endure several pesterings from his brothers. Again and again earning the disapproval from their mom. Max had used every spare minute to annoy Charles with memes and funny videos.
Both of them had noticed that the other had become part of their daily routine. Calling and texting each other whenever they crossed their mind. Which was, lets just say, a lot. They also had done a good job at annoying the people around them with their amorous smiles spread across their faces the entire time.
They didn't have to hide it anymore, at least for now.
They had been playing games over the phone, such as truth or dare or twenty-one questions, getting to know each other even better. At some points these games even got a little on the edge, making themselves and the other hungry for the other's touch. However they always stopped just in time before it could get out of hand. The phone-calls often ended after that, because they both had 'some business' to take care of.
Always calling back not long after, pretending if nothing had happened. Charles always experienced a weird sense of pride by making Max do stuff like that.
Max had started to accept the fact that Charles was able to make him weak to his toes. He was actually starting to like him doing it. Max returned the flirty advances to Charles, whom couldn't hold it together either.
Today was another day that they would not spend together, earning a big displease by both of the guys. On top of that it was Christmas Eve. The holy day.
Max had practically begged his mom not to bring up Charles today. His dad and sister were coming over. His mom had replied that he shouldn't care about what they think of it and he was trying but it was hard not to worry about their opinions. He was just not ready for them to know. Sophie respected his wish and agreed not to talk about it.
Max had woken up that morning by the sound of piano coming out of his phone. First he grunted and rubbed his eyes, but not long after he was mesmerized by the melodies Charles was producing.
"Oh sorry, did I wake you?" Charles had asked innocently and stopped playing. He had thought he had muted the call but apparently not.
"Yes, but I don't mind. Keep on playing." Max replied. Charles gladly picked up where he left off and started playing again. Max enjoyed the piece Charles preformed for him. The tones softly faded until the silence returned again.
"That was wonderful." He told Charles.
"You're only saying that because you want to get inside my pants." Charles joked, making Max laugh.
"Well, can you blame me?" Max joked back. Charles' cheeks heated up at that statement. "Man, I would like to get into your pants." Max over exaggerated but he wasn't lying. Charles chuckled again at his silliness.
"Are you ready for today?" Charles turned the conversation serious again. He knew Max was nervous. He told them the other night that he wasn't going to tell his father and sister about him, yet. It was maybe for the better, if Max was more comfortable in that way. However this also meant they wouldn't be able to speak to each for the rest of the day, which felt odd.
"I guess I am." Max said not what Charles had expected him to say, and he had also sounded very collected saying it too. Charles was proud that Max was starting to worry less and become more okay with this whole situation.
"Well, we could still talk while bathroom breaks, right?" Max added sounding a bit more nervous now. Charles smiled.
"I would love that Max." He assured him making Max release a breath.
