Max had woken up in the unfamiliar bed, but the person he shared it with was giving him a feeling of coming home. He looked at the red numbers on the alarmclock on the nightstand, 05:30
He shifted a closer to Charles, not liking the space between them one bit.
"Charlie." He whispered after some time. No reaction came from his man.
"Charlie." He whispered again, this time stretching the e and adding a small squeeze in his waist.
Charles shifted a bit, giving Max the illusion that he had woken up. However after a short minute a small snore came from Charles again.
"Hey sleepyhead, wake up." Max said now softly but a little louder than a whisper. It worked as Charles eyes opened. Max was relieved for a moment.
"Shut up, I'm trying to sleep." Charles said his voice barely audible, he turned around so now his back was facing Max.
"Charles, you need to get out of my bed." Max said now, trying not to sound annoyed, but he was tired too and couldn't hide it really.
Charles didn't respond once more.
"Charles." Max said now a bit louder. Charles rolled over now facing Max.
"Shhh" he said placing his finger on Max's lips. Even though Charles made Max's stomach fill with butterflies again, Max couldn't shake the thought that Charles needed to get out.
"Charles, you really need to go." Max said once more.
"I know, I know." Charles whispered back and he sat up straight.
"Stay away from me today." Charles said pointing a finger at Max.
"Okay, but one more kiss" Max said before the two engaged in one more kiss.
After that Charles got up and dressed himself in yesterdays clothes.
"See you on track, loser." He said referring to yesterday as he snuck out of Max's room.
Max got his phone from the nightstand to see if had missed any messages.
