𝐓he night passed fairly quickly, after greeting with Klaus finally after many years of dreading but needing it, it was finally done.
I was now sat in a room with Rebekah and Klaus, Rebekah was looking out of the window while me and Klaus were drinking from a glass of bourbon each.
"I cannot believe you disposed of those vampires without me. You know how I love to set things on fire", Rebekah said, turning around and facing Klaus.
"Oh we know, Rebekah", I joked, making her give me a look but a smile.
"Was I supposed to leave them in the front yard to rot? Besides, they were my responsibility. They attacked the helpless pregnant girl who's carrying my child", Klaus said, making me look to him.
"I still can't believe that's even possible", I say, although it didn't show in my voice I held slight spite, but I kept it well hidden.
"You me both, love", Klaus muttered.
"Oh, I am so moved by your newfound sense of fatherly duties towards the werewolf carrying your hybrid bun in her oven", Rebekah sarcastically said, but before anyone else could say anything Hayley walked in.
"The werewolf would like to know what the plan is", Hayley said, gathering the attention of most people in the room.
"Well, that depends what plan you mean, love: My plan for global domination, or Rebekah's plan to find love in a cruel, cruel world", Klaus said, making me laugh and Rebekah smile annoyed, grabbing a pencil from the side and throwing it in Klaus's direction.
Klaus easily catches it without effort.
"The plan to rescue Elijah. You know, the good brother. The one who is now in the possession of your mortal enemy after you stabbed him in the back", Hayley said, clutching the book in her hand with both hands.
"In the front, if we're being specific", Klaus said, earning a scowl from me, only because it was Elijah, Klaus knew if it was anyone else I'd laugh as if he said a joke.
"You three said that you would get him back. So is there a plan, or what?" Hayley asked, looking between me, Klaus and Rebekah.
"Okay. Well, firstly, Marcel is not my mortal enemy—he's my friend, albeit one who is unaware that I'm trying to sabotage his hold over the supernatural community of the French Quarter, but a friend nonetheless. And secondly, I daggered Elijah in order to gain Marcel's trust. If I had known he would place my brother in the hands of a particularly nasty teenaged witch, I certainly would have weighed my options a bit differently. And thirdly, sister, please", Klaus said, before turning the attention to Rebekah. Both me and Hayley listened in interest.
