"They have all forsaken me. My siblings are as deceitful and diseased as my parents ever were, accusing me of using my baby for my own gain. Trusting others before their own blood", Klaus announced as the sound of typewriter clicking in the background as Cami typed his every word, although she paused for a moment.

"Oh, would a laptop kill you?" She dreaded, picking up the pot of ink for what felt like the 50th time, correcting what was on the page.

"That typewriter was good enough for Hemingway", Klaus shrugged.

"Can see the resemblance", Cami joked with a straight face, eyes on the sheet of paper as she corrected it. "Booze and random acts of violence".

"Elijah and Rebekah have cut to the quick with their vicious lies about me, when all I've done is tried to win this battle of wills of Marcel's control. And save Melena from it all whilst I was at it", Klaus muttered the last part before turning back to Cami, "type, please".

Cami looked in thought as she looked in the distance, the typewriter clicking in the background had stopped.

"What's the point, you're just saying the same thing over and over again. Rebekah's out to get you, Elijah's out to get you. Is there anyone who isn't plotting your downfall?" Cami asked, making Klaus nod his head.

"Yes, actually", Klaus replied, only for Cami to raise her brows as she waited for Klaus's extended answer, "Melena. It seems she's the only one I am ever able to trust. Besides, if the daggers weren't missing I would put it in each of my siblings hearts. Rid myself of the burden of my siblings for a couple of centuries".

"Look at you, repeating the same destructive cycles over and over again", Cami argued, "you are the architect of your own unhappiness".

"I don't remember asking for your advice", Klaus sarcastically states.

"Oh, really? So of all the people in New Orleans, you chose someone with a master's in psychology to record your life stories?" Cami asked, "you're over 1,000 years old, pretty damn sure you know how to type. The truth is, you compel me to come here because you have no one else to talk to, and you want to be understood. Then you compel me to forget everything as soon as I leave your presence because you're too scared to trust".

"I am scared of nothing. All that you say is false, I have Melena to talk to, to trust, to confide", Klaus defended, making Cami look at him in interest.

"You speak of this Melena so highly. Who is she?" Cami asked.

Klaus stayed silent for a second, wondering if he should tell Camille or not, he debated if he could trust her.

"Melena is. . . an old friend", Klaus said vaguely.

Klaus then walked over to Cami, spotting something on her desk.
