"If you think this means I forgive you then you're mistaken", I added, walking into the compound and making my way up the stairs."Of course, I didn't figure it would be as easy as that. Go on then, love, what do you want?" Klaus asked, making me pause halfway up the stairs.
"Anything?" I asked, a small smirk appearing on my face as he introduced the offer.
"Under certain circumstances", Klaus shrugged.
"Fine, leave and never return", I replied, clearly sarcastic. I turned to walk back upstairs but rather than making my way up I walked into someone after hearing a loud, swift gush of wind.
"I'm sure you'd regret wishing that, love", Klaus's voice whispered.
"Would I?" I challenged.
"You tell me", Klaus replied, stepping forward, forcing me to step back.
I paused for a moment, the proximity between the two of us was nearly too close. I snapped out of my little daze and looked at him rather than wherever I was just looking.
"Goodnight, Klaus", I replied, stepping past him and leaving him stood on the stairs alone whilst I made my way to my room, not speaking another word.
The second I reach my room, my phone starts buzzing, signalling I was getting a call. Reaching for my phone, I answered at put the phone on speaker.
"Hello?" I questioned as I placed my phone down and began picking out some clothing for bed.
"Mel, here me out", Rebekah's voice pleaded.
I turned back to my phone, walking to it and picking it up.
"Rebekah? Now's probably not a good time..." I replied, worried Klaus would hear and not react well.
"Please", Rebekah begged, "I owe you an apology".
I didn't reply at first, mostly because I didn't know what to reply with. It seemed like she was apologetic, especially based on the way her voice begged for forgiveness, but I didn't see the point in listening. Especially considering the pain of the vervain was severe.
"What do you want, Rebekah?" I asked, clearly impatient.
"I want to say sorry, I shouldn't of allowed Marcel to include you in his little plan. It wasn't fair on you", Rebekah replied, "if I could take it back, Mel, I would. You, of all people, don't deserve to get caught up in the Mikaelson drama".
"It's a little too late to be saying that now, Rebekah. I mean, did you not think of what would happen after?".
"No, I wasn't thinking about that. I wasn't thinking at all", Rebekah replied.
"That's the problem. You wasn't thinking", I told her sternly, "you just did anything to please Marcel. You chose Marcel over your own friend, over your own family".
"I know, and for that I'm sorry", Rebekah finalises.
"If Klaus hears me talking to you, you won't be the only one that's kicked out. I'll talk to you later, Rebekah", I replied, hanging up the phone after.
I threw my phone on the bed and got in it myself, but no matter how hard I tried to keep my eyes shut, they wouldn't stay that way.
My phone buzzed on the bed. Scrambling around to find it hidden in the covers, I unlocked it and read a message I'd received.
My face quickly switched when I saw who it was from, it switched to a look on confusement and annoyance.
'Meet me in Jackson Square'.
