Currently I'm waiting on Nadriah to come into my office so we can talk about something very important. There was a knock at my office door and Nadirah walked in she closed the door behind her and sat down.

"What's going on mama is everything okay?"

"Everything is fine."

"Did I do something wrong?"

"Nadi will you stop asking questions and just listen."

She nodded.

"I have talked this over with your father and he agrees with me. I'm retiring and I want you to take over the office."

"Huh."

"It's time for your mama to retire I want to travel the world with your daddy without having to worry about a pager going off in the middle of me packing I've been doing this before you was born I'm done working baby."

I looked at Nadirah.

"What's wrong?"

"I-I just wasn't expecting this."

"You're stuttering what are you holding back from me Nadirah."

"Well I was waiting until you came back from the hospital to tell you but I guess now is the chance to tell you."

"Tell me what," I asked.

"I quit I want to pursue something else."

"Like what?"

She shrugged her shoulders.

"You can tell me."

"Modeling, acting, a vlogger idk."

"Okay."

"You're okay with this?"

"Why wouldn't I me and your father always told y'all to follow your dreams and do what makes y'all happy."

"Oh."

"Nadirah did you become a nurse because you thought that I wouldn't support you."

"Yes I felt bad when you found out that Brae, Brax nor Mari was following in your footsteps and I didn't want to disappoint you or daddy."

"Baby girl you'll never disappoint us Brae, Mari, or Brax didn't follow in your daddy footsteps and he's not upset we're very supportive in what y'all want to do no matter what it is."

"So what's going to happen to the office since I'm not taking over?"

"I'm going to reach out to my two friends and see which one wants to take over the building."

Nadirah nodded I sent a text message to both Dr. Whitmore and Dr. Walters about the office along with the offer that I have for them.

"Okay."

"So how's the wedding planning going?"

"We haven't started yet we're just enjoying being engaged but we will start planning soon and I want your help."

"Okay."

Nadirah nodded.

"I love you mama."

"I love you too."

"You want me to bring you something to eat?"

"No baby I'm fine you go ahead and enjoy your day."

"Alright."

Nadirah stood up walked over to the door and opened it seeing Omari, Seiko and Shiloh.

"Hi ShiShi."

"Hi TeeTee."

"Shi," I spoke gaining her attention.

"NaNa."

She wiggled out of Seiko arms.

"Wait a minute girl."

Seiko sat Shiloh on the floor."

"Is she crawling yet?"

"Yeah she started a couple days ago."

I got down on the floor so Shiloh can see me once she saw me her eyes lit up and she crawled in my direction. Once she was in arm's length I picked her up and hugged her then I kissed her cheek.

"Nana missed you."

Shiloh cheesed. I looked at Omari and Seiko.

"What brings y'all by," I asked.

They both sat down.

"Would you like to help me plan the wedding?"

"I would love to."

Seiko nodded.

"What's wrong?"

"I don't want to-" Omari cut her off.

"Sei you know my mama not like that."

She nodded then she explained everything to me about what happened with her mama.

It hurts me to know that Seiko is hurting because of her mom they had a meet up recently and she had asked Seiko was she still with me and she told her the truth and things went left I had to Uber to where they was just so I can drive her home because of how bad she was crying.

"She never liked Mari and I don't understand why he's amazing and he treats me right."

"I know he's amazing I birthed him and raised him."

"I didn't even tell her that we had broken up because I know she was going to try and put me with someone else and I don't want anyone else but Mari that's why I never dated because he's my soul mate he's my perfect match."

"Don't worry about her you have me, Brae, and Nadi we love you and will do anything to help you out."

"Shi you staying with nana and papa tonight," my mama asked.

"Y'all just had her."

"So say I can stay with my nana and papa if I want to," my mama spoke for Shiloh.

"Y'all need to have another baby?"

My mama quickly looked at me.

"That ship has sailed son y'all have kids."

"Ma do you even get Arielle like this?"

"Yep me and your dad have the both of them."

"Babe you fine with Shi going with mama again."

"Yeah that's not a problem."

"What you doing here crumbsnatcher," my pops spoke as he walked in with food.

"Came to see mama and ask her something."

"Ask her what?"

"To help me plan the wedding."

My pops nodded.

"Shi," my pops beamed and took Shiloh from my mama.

"She staying with us again baby," my pops asked.

"Yeah."

"Okay."

"You going back to the house or you staying here with me."

"Say we're staying nana."

My mama nodded and got the bag.

"We're going to head out bye Shi."

Shiloh looked at us and waved then she put her attention on my mama food we both shook our heads and walked out of the office closing the door behind us.

"What are we going to do now that we're kid free again."

I looked at Seiko and she smiled we linked hands and walked out of the building heading towards her car. A massage is definitely what we both need and sleep since we haven't gotten any since we've been engaged we're both grateful for my parents and Seiko' dad.
