Braelyn
Today has been so hectic everyone has literally been running around trying to get everything together and ready especially me. I got my nails did yesterday by my nail tech then I had to go get my pedicure done as well as get everything for my business together. Last year after I had the twins I decided that I didn't want to go back to work so I ended up gifting my company to my manager and now I'm focusing on doing something that I love which is running my own clothing boutique online and in-store. I made sure to get all of the orders filled and sent out because for the next 2 weeks I won't be able to do anything then as soon as we get back from our honeymoon it's going to be back to work.

"Brae the twins have woken up you want me to get them dressed," my mama asked.

"Yes thank you mama."

"You're welcome baby girl."

I'm getting my hair and makeup done at the same time. We have less than two hours before the ceremony will start. I grabbed my phone to make sure that our flight is still on for tonight to Turks and Caicos. I do have a surprise for Raheem that he has no idea about.

There was a knock on the door and Paris walked in.

"We got some bad news."

"And what's that?"

"The wedding planner went over budget."

"How much over?"

"$2000,000."

"The fuck on what?"

"The flower wall and get this the flowers are not even real."

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah."

I sighed.

"Why she didn't come and talk to me or Rah before she even made the decision?"

"I have no idea but I will find out for y'all."

"Please do because I need to know how we went from having a $5000,00 budget to $7000,000 budget."

"I'm on it I'm about to find Monaé and see what's up."

"Okay thank you."

"You're welcome."

I sighed and sent Raheem a text letting him know the news that Paris told me. Yeah we have the money but we specifically set a budget for the wedding we was fine with going over a couple hundred dollars over or even a couple thousand dollars over but a couple hundred thousand dollars over is really pushing it.

I shook my head and calmed myself down. Once my hair and makeup was finished I stood up and walked over to my dress. My mama walked in and she walked over to me she got my dress down and unzipped it.

I stepped into my dress and she zipped me up. I then put on my heels and stood up.

"I want to give you something."

"Okay."

She picked up a box and handed it to me I opened the box.

"This was your grandmother your grandpa gave it to me on my wedding day."

"Your biological mom?"

"Yeah we never had a close relationship once I turned 16 but she left this and a letter I'll help you put it on."

I nodded and sat down my mama put the necklace on I put the tennis bracelet and earrings on. I stood back up and my mama stared at me.

"What's wrong mama?"

"Nothing baby I'm just thinking."

"About," I asked.

"You, you're my first baby girl and you're getting married."

"Oh," I laughed nervously.

"I'm not going to say anything else because I know that you're trying your best to not cry."

"I am."

"Alright let's go get you married."

The ceremony

"Friends and family we are all gathered her today to witness the holy matrimony of Braylen Beckham and Raheem Jefferson."

The pastor said a prayer and gave us some encouraging words.

"Braelyn and Raheem have written their vows Braelyn you're first."

"They always say that you'll find love and your soulmate when you least expect it and you came into my life when I wasn't looking for another relationship after being in a bad one. That didn't stop you from pursing me you waited patiently until I was ready to fully love you. You healed my scars and my heart you took your time loving me the right way. And now I'm going to continue with loving you the right way I love you Bubs."

"I never met someone to match my goofiness until I met you everything about you I love to me you're perfect even on your bad days. I thank God for you everyday and our twin daughters. Without y'all I am not the man who I am today. I love you Brae."

We did the ring exchange then we kissed the pastor announced us as husband and wife we jumped the broom and walked down the aisle.

"Babe before we go to take pictures I have a surprise for you."

"What is it?"

I pointed towards his bother who was walking up to us.

"Hey baby bro."

"Wassup man."

I watched as they hugged.

"How long are you out?"

"Thanks to my sister in law I'm a free man."

Raheem turned and looked at me.

"It wasn't easy and was a long process but I got it done."

Raheem kissed me then he hugged his brother once more. In the midst of wedding planning I was also working on getting Raheem big brother Zaiver free since he was wrongfully convicted it wasn't an easy thing to do but I managed to get it done without Raheem catching on.

5 years later

Me and the girls walked in the house I closed and locked the door behind me I told them to take their shoes off and place them on the rack.

"Hey baby," Raheem spoke as he came out.

"Hey baby."

"Hey daddy you like our nails."

"I love them."

"Mommy we're going to go play."

"Alright."

"Where's Malaya?"

"Really Laya I just changed you."

We heard Malaya laugh followed by Zaiver groaned.

"Zay is changing her."

"Okay good cause he's going to need all the practice he can get."

"Right when is Brehia due?"

"In 3 months."

Raheem nodded and we walked into the kitchen.

I couldn't even imagine myself being here 5 years ago but here I am happy, married and in love with my soulmate. Things don't always go the way you plan them because God have plans for you already.  Never give up on hope or love because the right person will come into your life and love you correctly.

The End.
