CHAPTER 14

MINA'S POV

"Hey girlfriend", I heard Chaeyoung say into my left ear. I turned to look at him but he wasn't there.

I heard the sounds of a chair against the floor beside me by my right. Turning to look at him, I rolled my eyes.

"Haha, Chaeyoung. Very funny".

"What?", He shrugged.

"Whatever. What are you doing here anyway? I've never thought you as the library type".

"What? Can't I pay a visit to the library once in a while?", I gave him a look that said I wasn't buying it.

"Okay. You're right. The only reason I came here was to see you".

"Better. Go on then", He hesitated as though he was thinking about what to say.

"How would you like to go for a party?", He asked at last.

"A party?".

"Yeah. This Friday. My friends on the basketball team feel I haven't been hanging out with them since you and I got together so it's really important that I'm at this party".

"And the party's on Friday? As in the day after tomorrow".

"Yeah".

"I don't know, Chaeyoung. I'm not really the party type".

"Come on Mina. It'll be fun. Besides I kinda already said you would come".

"You did what now?!", I slammed my hand against the table.

That got me a stern look and a Shush! sign from the librarian. I waved apologetically.

"Now, like I was saying, why would you promise I'll be at a party without my consent?", I whisper yelled turning to Chaeyoung again.

"Well I didn't exactly say you would be there. I said I would be there, which is kind of the same thing".

"Uh no, it isn't".

"It kinda is. You're my girlfriend, Mina and if I'm at a party and you're not. Well let's just say it'll look bad. It's all about image with us".

I sighed.

"Like I said Chaeyoung, I don't know. Parties aren't really my thing".

"Come on. It'll be fun. Besides, with you by my side, it'll be harder for girls to hit on me".

"That doesn't seem to have stopped them before", I muttered with a roll of my eyes.

"What? I can't help that I'm naturally charming", He winked.

I scoffed at his remark.

"Come on Mina. Just come to the party. You won't know until you try".

I'm thinking on whether or not to accept Chaeyoung's invitation. Eventually I sighed in agreement.

"Alright, I'll go".

"Yes!!", Chaeyoung cheered, earning a Shhh! from a student nearby.

In response, Chaeyoung stuck his tongue out at him before looking back at me with a grin.

"Remember though, if the party turns out to be boring, I'm going home and you're coming with me".

"That's fair. But you have nothing to worry about. Bambam's parties are always fun".

On hearing that name, I whirled my head around to Chaeyoung's face.

"Wait, this party is organized by Bambam?".

"Yeah. Why do you ask?".

"Oh! It-it's nothing", I stuttered.

"Are you sure? It doesn't look like nothing. You seem a little pale. Are you okay?".
