CHAPTER 28

MINA'S POV

The kiss Chaeyoung and I shared was perhaps one of the best things that ever happened to me and I wished I could have told Chaeyoung that. But I didn't.

Why?.

Because I was scared. I already had a good thing going with Chaeyoung. Why ruin it by actually starting a relationship?.

Afterall Jeongyeon and I started out best friends before we started dating and look where that got me. I just couldn't risk it again, especially with Chaeyoung.

Did this mean I had feelings for him? I couldn't say. What I did know was that when I was around him, everything seemed alright. It was like nothing could go wrong when I was with him.

And now after the kiss, I couldn't seem to stop my heart from thundering whenever he was around. Getting close to him aroused me now more than ever.

Every single detail about him made me want to take back everything I said about us forgetting the kiss happened and asking him to kiss me senseless.

I also couldn't keep from getting insanely jealous whenever any girl got way too close to him. Of course, I knew Chaeyoung would never do anything with them but I couldn't seem to help myself, which explained why I've been snapping at Tzuyu's girlfriend, Elkie very often. Something about her was off and as it was, Tzuyu was the only reason I was still speaking to her.

Anyway, things pretty much went back to normal after Chaeyoung and I kissed. It was the events that unfolded two weeks later that began to change everything.

After spending the day before with Chaeyoung his family, my family and Grandma at a picnic, I arrived at school Monday morning to find Sana sulking by her locker which was a few lockers away from mine.

Sneaking up behind her, I yelled out a "Boo!" in her ear, startling her.

"Gosh, Mina! You scared the fuck outta me!", She scolded, giving me a Bitchy look.

"Yeah", I said with a straight face. When she didn't laugh or roll her eyes, I frowned.

"What's with the straight face on a Monday morning? Is it that time of the month?", I whispered, leaning in.

She shook her head sideways to indicate no.

"So what is it?".

"No-nothing!", She stuttered, looking down at the floor.

"Sana, it's not nothing. What's up? You can tell me", I used a finger to lift her chin up.

She kept silent, wringing her fingers together. I could tell that whatever it was, it was really serious. I only wondered what it was. Just when I thought she wasn't going to talk, she blurted out.

"I kissed Tzuyu!", My eyes widened and my jaw dropped as I stared at her in pure shock.

Do my ears deceive me or did I just hear Sana, my best friend slash my brother's girlfriend say that she kissed Tzuyu, my other best friend?.

Holy effing cow!.

Struggling to regain my composure, I asked.

"What exactly happened?".

"So yesterday, I kinda went to his house. We started watching a movie and got to talking about Elkie and Dahyun. I said something about Elkie and he got angry and we started arguing and then I kissed him!", She nervously revealed.

"Well did he kiss you back?".

"Not at first. At first, he pushed me away and yelled at me for kissing him when we both had somebody else but after that, he came back and kissed me and we might have made out a bit on his bed and now I don't know what to do!", Sana cried, burying her face in her hands.
