MINA'S POV

"Catch!".

And just like that, out of nowhere, a basketball hit me smack in the face.

I fell to the floor, Chaeyoung calling my name, the last thing I heard before my world went dark.

I slowly came to to find myself in a bright white room. My vision was hazy and blurry and I couldn't see well.

I could hear conversation around me but couldn't really focus on anything due to the banging in my head.

I tried moving and moaned painfully. Ouch, that hurt! Everything hurt. Everywhere hurt.

"Mina, are you okay?
Mina, speak to me! Open your eyes, Mina", A familiar voice said, warm hands gripping my shoulders.

A unbelievable coldness gripped me when the warm hands that gripped me let go. My body ached due to the lack of contact.

"You have to calm down. Healing takes time", I faintly heard a strange voice say. I felt something prick my neck before I faded into darkness again.

_______________

CHAEYOUNG'S POV

After Mina was hit in the face by the basketball out of the blue, I jumped out of my seat, barely catching her as she fell.

As her unconscious body laid in my lap, blood running out of her nose, I looked around for the person who could have thrown it but with the crowd already gathered around us, I couldn't see anything. So I decided to focus on that later and on Mina for now.

"Oh my gosh, Mina!", Sana exclaimed, fighting through the crowd to get to us.

"Sana, call 911!", I ordered and she was quick to do as I said.

With Mina in my arms, I stood from the floor and ran outside so it would be easier for the paramedics to get to her.

A few minutes later, the ambulance appeared and Mina was placed on a stretcher and wheeled in.

Sana and I both wanted to accompany her in the ambulance but we were told only one of us could go with her.

"You go. You're her best friend", I pushed Sana forward. She moved to enter the ambulance then paused.

"But you're her boyfriend. You go. I need to get Dahyun and Tzuyu anyway", I heaved a sigh of relief, happy to hear her say that.

"Thanks Sana".

"No problem. Now go!".

I nodded and got into the ambulance. Once the door was closed, the ambulance started moving, its siren sounding as we went. While the paramedics attended to Mina, I held her hand, refusing to let go.

"You're gonna be fine. You're gonna be fine", I muttered repeatedly throughout the ride to the hospital.

When we arrived at the hospital, Mina was wheeled out of the ambulance and into the hospital.

I continued going with her until we reached a point and I was told I couldn't go any further.

I wanted to object but I knew that any time I spent arguing would only cause Mina more harm than good so I obliged and let go of her hand. I kept my eyes on her until she disappeared round the corner.

Once she was gone, I ran my hand through my hair as I paced the floor, waiting and hoping for news about her. Dahyun, Sana and Tzuyu came around a while after and together, we waited for news about Mina.
