NOW THAT we are caught up with what has been happening behind the scenes, we now have context as to what will transpire in the chapters ahead. Let's go back.

July 20, 2023 - Time Terrorist Base outside LJC, Alabama

The van emerged in the parking hub. Anthony got out of the van and entered the main part of the base. The base was a hollowed-out hill, located four miles from the nearest civilization, which was Lime Junction City, Alabama. Inside, from the main entrance, on the immediate left were three parking spots where different vehicles stayed. On the immediate right were more parking spots. Beyond the parking area was a grand lobby. It wasn't as much of a lobby as much as it was a central hub. It was a dome-like structure with doors to armories and barracks. There was also a Research & Development room because time travel is relatively newer tech.

Anthony went into the lobby and called a meeting. Everyone from all around the base came in. He began to deliver a speech, "In our previous mission, we had our shot to take over the agency. We even sent Mask to assassinate Jarodson. Their agency was too persistent. They sent someone to foil the mission and they killed the messenger, rendering any other attempts useless. I need the elite members by my side." Eleven of the six hundred people stood up. Everyone looked rag tag, but these eleven were the most kitted out of them all. "Esther, Snout, and Fanta," Anthony said, "You three will accompany me on this next mission." Three of the eleven standing walked to Anthony's side. "Alright," Anthony said with an evil smile, "let's roll." The four of them walked to the van which was in a parking space.

"So, boss," Fanta said, "We takin' ova the agency?" Anthony just chuckled and said, "Not yet. There's someone who will stand in the way of every move we make toward the agency." Anthony plugged in the time, cranked the car, and the van warped out.

February 19, 1998 - Lime Junction City, Alabama

David, Eddie, and Jessica warped in. They had landed in an alley next to the cinema downtown. "Movie? Anyone?" Jessica asked jokingly. "I would if I wasn't going to die soon," David replied as the three of them got out. Since all three of their present times were in the winter, they were already dressed warmly. David had his TTA suit on, but he used the pin's ability to disguise it as a blue winter coat and jeans. Jessica had a Christmas sweater on, and Eddie, you already know he had a trenchcoat on.

The three of them began to search the sidewalks for a six-year-old boy, as Eddie had said. "Why don't we check his parents' house?" Jessica asked. "He's lost," David replied. "What happened?" was Jessica's next question. They walked past a telephone pole with a paper on it saying: MISSING KID! Six-year-old David Loel nowhere to be found. The paper also had some contact information, which Jessica didn't get to read before they were too far from the paper.

"He got left at a Wal-Mart and left the store before they could find him," Eddie said. "Do you know where he might be now?" Jessica asked. "If my memory serves me right, he should be on his way home," David replied.

The van warped in out of sight of David, Eddie, and Jessica. Anthony homed in on them with binoculars. "Dang," Anthony said, "They're here." Esther swung the door open, got the silencer sniper rifle, and ran toward them. Anthony looked at the other two and said, "Don't follow her. Let's go around and cut them off." The van drove around and went down another street.

"Guys," Jessica said, looking behind them, "6 o' clock." Eddie moved to the back of the trio, whipped out his rifle and shot several rounds at Esther, missing every one. The clip popped out and he flung the clip at Esther, it striking her in the stomach. Eddie then took a new clip and flung it up into the air. He twirled the rifle onto his shoulder, the empty slot for the clip facing up. The clip came down and slotted into place.
