It was a beautiful morning. The birds sang, and the trees rustled gently in the wind. However, inside both David and Jessica was an anxiety that "today's the day," they'd say if they were face to face. David walked out to his car when he saw Jessica sitting on her porch steps contemplating further action. He felt compassion for her and walked over to her and kneeled down to below her level (after all, she was sitting on the steps, and he was on the ground).
"Hey, what's wrong?" he asked, taking her hand. Jessica replied after a pause, "I really don't wanna die today." David thought for a moment before speaking, "I think Eddie, or Vengeance, or future me, whatever you wanna call him; I think he told us what we needed to know. Maybe the environment we'd be in was impossible for him to save you, but not for me. It's simple, right? Just wait a few more seconds before going. Besides, I called Jeb recently and convinced him to order an extra pizza with pineapple just for you." Jessica was convinced. She'd happily but reluctantly go with him to the party. As a precautionary measure, Jessica didn't sit in the passenger seat, but in the seat behind David.
A ways down the road, they came up to the infamous intersection. "Here, we make the left turn, and then after waiting those extra seconds, we're home free," he said to himself. The light turned green, and they waited. A pulse of anxiety ran through David, like a beating heart. He had the sudden urge to step on the gas, but he fought it. It was only 15 seconds, but it felt like 15 minutes to them. Finally, the speedster that would've killed Jessica sped past, and they both breathed a sigh of relief.
When they got to Jeb's house, they did a little mini celebration when they got out of the car that ended in a hug and a kiss. After the kiss, David and Jessica looked into each other's eyes. The eyes said it all to the point they didn't even have to verbally say "I love you." From looking into each other's eyes, they kissed again. They then walked inside hand in hand. As David said, one of the pizzas had pineapple on it.
January 29, 1965 - Churchill residence in Brighton, UK.
They warped out on the dirt path outside the Churchill residence. It looked about mid-afternoon. "Do we have to do this?" Jessica asked. "It depends, do you want to see Thomas Pride stay in the history books?" David stated. "Alright," Jessica replied, "You got the schematics?" "Yes," David said, reaching into the backseat and grabbing some blueprints, "Wait in the car for me." "Why?" Jessica asked. "Well, the stories never mentioned a man and a woman at the door." "Well, screw the stories," Jessica objected. "Alrighty then," David said, "Let's go." David's TTA pin made him look like Eddie, with the hat and trenchcoat. He decided, though, to add sunglasses because why the heck not?
He rang the doorbell on the house. And there who opened the door was Winston Churchill himself. "Can I help you, suspicious visitors?" he said. "We hear you have a laboratory not far from here?" David said, hiding his mild southern accent. "That is correct," Winston replied. "We have blueprints from a scientist who lives in Hill Valley, California," David said, "We have a schematic for a time machine he invented." He signaled for Jessica to hand him the blueprints. David handed him the blueprints. "This right here will make your company become a monument," he said. Winston took the blueprints. "Thank you," he said, "I'll take this into consideration." Winston then went inside and closed the door. David held up his hand, and Jessica gave him a hearty high-five. They then walked back to the car.
September 5, 2022 - Outskirts of Lime Junction City, Alabama
The newlywed couple, David and Jessica Loel, were strolling through their house they had built after their honeymoon. The beat-up wedding photo they'd been given by Eddie (well, it was sneaked into David's suitcase by Eddie, but same difference) was sitting on a dresser propped up by a lamp. David saw it and turned to Jessica. "Hey, hand me the photo we took in June," he said. She handed him a photo that was framed and he took it and set it next to the battered photo. "Would you look at that," Jessica said, "They're practically identical." David let out a small chuckle to himself and said, "Gotta love time travel."

"Are you sure about this?" Jessica asked. They were standing in the parking lot, which at the time was empty. It was just her, David, and his time car. "It'll be fine," David said, "Since I don't lose you, I can go." "But what about losing me when you get back and going through that same loop that gets you killed?" Jessica asked, now more stressed. David paused solemnly. She was right. What if that was the case? David then looked up at Jessica and said, "If that were to happen, then Nigel should portal in and say so―"
In front of them a green portal opened. "Hey, don't go," Nigel said, stepping out, "You'll go through the same crap again. Just let the timeline readjust. I heard your adventure won't be affected no matter what you do here, so don't do it." "Hey, Nigel," David said, "Thanks for the note." "So, you're not gonna go back through that mess?" Nigel asked. "Heck yeah! I'm glad to not have to go through that again," David blissfully replied. "Awesome. If something does happen, let me handle it," Nigel said, subsequently stepping back through the portal. "Gotta love time travel, am I right?" Jessica laughed. David laughed as well, "You bet."
