1 year later
9 months after Lauren kicked you out, you gave birth to a adorable baby boy, Logan Michael Jauregui- Y/L/N. Although Lauren wasn't biologically the mother, you still loved her and wanted her to be, so you gave Logan her last name, as well as your own. You were hoping one day she would come around and want to be apart of his life, as his other Mom. You also didn't find another place to stay, so you lived with your parents.
You decided that it was a beautiful day outside, so you took your 3 month old, to the park. Noticing an ice cream stand, you went up and bought yourself a vanilla cone. You walked over to the nearest bench and sat down, parking the stroller next to you.
You were sitting there for about 5 minutes, just thinking until a voice broke you out of your thoughts. "Hey, do you mind if I sit here?" You could recognize that voice anywhere. Lauren, your girlfriend that left you a year ago.
You looked up to see the same bright emerald eyes that you always used to love to stare into. The shock was evident in her features when she realized it was you.
"Hey, Lauren. Yeah, you can sit here." You said, to which Lauren sat down beside you.
"How have you been, Y/N?" Lauren asked you. You took a deep breath before replying.
"Okay, I guess. Could be better." You said, quite bluntly. "How about you?"
"Fine, you know, recording and touring with the girls still." You just nodded as a reply, not really knowing how to respond.
"I really miss you, Y/N. I don't feel complete without you. I was stupid for letting you go, I was being so selfish." Lauren confessed.
"You were. And, I really miss you too. You know I had to go through pregnancy and dealing with a baby without you." You replied. Lauren nodded sadly.
"Do you want to see him?" You asked. Lauren immediately understood what you meant and nodding her head. You carefully picked Logan out of the stroller and kissed his forehead before handing him over to Lauren.
"He's so cute. What's his name?" Lauren admired while stroking his cheek.
"Logan Michael Jauregui-Y/L/N." You replied. Lauren facial expression showed happiness but soon turned to confusion.
"Jauregui? But, I'm not even his mom." She questioned.
"I know but, I want you to be. I still love you Lauren and I have never stopped loving you." You admitted. Lauren had the biggest grin on her face at your confession.
"Really? I still love you too, Y/N. I was such an idiot, I should've been there for you. Will you really let me into his life as his mother?" Lauren was over the moon at this point.
"Yes, but on one condition." You said.
"Anything."
"Never leave again and love Logan as if he were your own." You told her.
"I would never leave you again, that was the biggest mistake of my life. And, of course I will love Logan. We're a family now." You smiled at
Lauren's answer.
"Yes, we are." You replied before kissing Lauren with so much passion. God, how much you missed those lips.
After that, you just spent hours, sitting on that park bench with Logan in Lauren's arms and you cuddled up to her side. Lauren repeatedly apologizing for her selfishness and how it was the most idiotic thing she had ever done. You texted your mom, telling her about everything that had happened that afternoon and, much to your relief, she was overjoyed about it. Once evening came, you both made your way back to Lauren's apartment. She gave you some of her clothes to wear to bed and you both fell asleep in each other arms with Logan in between you two. Maybe, you were going to have your happy ever after, after all.
