I had just gotten into bed with my wife, Lauren, after putting our 4 year old daughter to bed. She was reading her book but as soon as I walked in, she put it down. Now, Lauren had her head resting on my chest with our legs tangled together. Nights like these, where we are just laying there, not needing to talk, are my favourite.
"I love you." I whispered, kissing her head. She lifted it up, resting her chin on my chest. She had a small smile on her face, the kind of smile that melts my heart.
"I love you too, baby." Lauren replied, kissing me softly on the lips.
"Hey, do you remember our first date?" I suddenly asked. I don't know why, but I can't help but think of how much we have changed since then.
"Of course. How could I forget? It was perfect, God, we were so young." She laughed while laying her head back to rest on my chest.
"Mhm." I hummed as I though back to that day.

Flashback
It was 6pm on a Friday evening and I was getting ready for my date with Lauren. Hopefully this would be one of many. I decided to wear black jeans, a black t-shirt with a red flannel, black converse, and a black beanie.
I got to Lauren's house and when she opened the door, I was speechless. She looked absolutely beautiful in her denim short shorts and grey tank top. I quickly recovered though to give Lauren a compliment.
"You look gorgeous, Lauren." She just looked down bashfully with a shy smile on her face.
"Not too bad yourself, Y/L/N." She replied and I couldn't help but giggle.
I took Lauren's hand and led her towards my car. I opened the door for and and she thanked me as she climbed in. After I got in I turned to face her.
"So, um.. I kinda thought we could get pizza and go to the drive-in movie theatre, I mean if you want to. We can do something els-"
"Y/N. That sounds perfect." She cut me off, and honestly, I was thankful because I could ramble forever. Lauren lent over and kissed my cheek. After that, I was trying so hard not to freak out the entire drive. Wouldn't want to get into an accident, that would not be a great first date.
Shortly after, we arrived at the pizza place. We got out the car and went inside to order. Lauren wanted pepperoni and who am I to deny and pretty girl.
As soon as we got our pizza, we got back in the car and drove to the drive-in movie theatre. We ate the pizza while watching the movie, well, Lauren watched the movie while I stared at her side profile.
"Take a picture, it'll last longer." Lauren joked. I quickly turned my head forward after realising I had been caught. However, I mustered up the courage and turned back to look at her, saying the thing I had been thinking the whole night.
"I'm sorry, it's just- you're so beautiful. And I uhh... I think I love you."
The next thing I know, Lauren's lips are on mine and she's kissing me. Oh god, she's kissing me. As soon as I realise what's happening, I kiss back. This is the best kiss I've ever had.
"I mean, I know I love you." I said after our lips parted.
"I love you too, dork" Lauren giggled.

I'm brought out of my thoughts by Lauren kissing my neck. Slowly they turn from sweet little pecks to hot open mouth kisses. I grabbed ahold of her cheeks, bringing her face up so I could give her a passionate kiss.
"I love you." I breathed out in between kisses.
"I love you too, dork." She straddle my hips, never once taking her lips off mine.
