"Right, today class, we will be learning about literary devices." That was my English teacher, Miss. Jauregui, who also happens to be my girlfriend. Our relationship, however, was a secret. I'm 18, a senior, so technically there's nothing wrong with us dating, Lauren's 21, we just don't want to tell anyone because it is a little weird for a teacher to be dating their student. But, when I leave school in a few months, Lauren won't be my teacher anymore, so everyone can know about our relationship.
"Y/N, were you listening to what I just said?" Lauren's husky voice suddenly breaks me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah." I lied, hoping she wouldn't notice, however, Lauren can see right through me.
"Okay, which literary device did I just explain then?" Lauren replied. Even though she was my girlfriend, in class she would always treat me like any other student, which was a bit annoying seeing as she could at least be a little bit nicer to me.
"Umm... Metaphors... No! Personification. That's the one, personification." I said, trying to sound confident in my answer. Lauren just smirked at me, I realised very quickly that that was the wrong answer.
"No, I explained oxymorons. Please listen next time, Y/N." She said, very clearly trying to come across disappointed, but to me, failing miserably. I now know that I would have to make it up to her.
Luckily for me, I had been planning a date all week. This date was going to be one of the most romantic dates I had ever taken Lauren on. She loves when I am romantic, so there was absolutely no denying that this date would make her completely fall in love with me all over again. I'm going to take her to a very fancy Italian restaurant, then after go to Cold Stone, because everybody knows just how much she loves that place. After that, we will just go back to her house, cuddle and watch a movie; that's how we end every date even if it's not as fancy as this one is going to be.
As of right now, my English class has just ended and as I walk out the classroom, I send Lauren a subtle wink, however she notices and I see a slight blush rise in her cheeks; the cheeks I love to kiss every single day, and hopefully will kiss every single day for the rest of my life.
My last class, Chemistry, seemed to go on a lot longer than usual. I was starting to get really nervous about the date and I kept glancing at the clock every few minutes. Finally, the class ended and I ran out of school. I hopped in my car and drove home as fast as the speed limit would let me. As soon as I enter my bedroom, I send Lauren a text.

It's a surprise, just be ready! 😉From: Love of my life 😍🙈
Ugh, fine, love you 😘I put my phone away and started to get ready for our date. I had already planned what I was going to wear because I certainly did not want to be late. I slipped on my red dress and applied minimal make-up. I curled my hair because that was always Lauren's favourite hairstyle on me. I got in my car and drove to Lauren's place.
When I reached my destination, I knocked on the familiar front door and waited. As the door opened, my eyes widened at the beautiful sight in front of me. Lauren was wearing a skin tight, strapless, black dress that went down to her mid thighs. Her jet black hair was straight and she was wearing her signature red lipstick.
"W-wow." I was speechless.
"I'm going to take that as a compliment, so thank you." Lauren said, giggling softly. God, her giggle was music to my ears.
