Chapter forty-four

third pov

after everything, midoriya and the others took bakugou and Gaara to the police for questioning and during the whole thing, the two were very quiet.

when Gaara had gotten home, kankuro and Temari were there waiting for him, Gaara was caught off guard but kept quiet "Gaara! we were so worried about you" Temari shouted, running up to him 

Gaara watched as she went to hug him but he moved out of the way. even though Gaara was warming up to his classmates, it doesn't mean he will warm up to his siblings as if nothing had happened 

"Gaara?" kankuro asked in a worried tone "I don't see why you two are acting as if you suddenly care" Gaara turned his back to them staring at the ground as if it was the most interesting thing he has ever seen

"what do you mean Gaara..we have always-" Temari said in a soft and confused tone before she was cut off by Gaara "shut up Temari!" he clenched his fists in anger "Gaara! don't yell at her like that" kankuro yelled back 

"oh so now you have the balls to speak up to me huh?!" Gaara walked up to kankuro, who was smaller in height than Gaara, his 5'6 structure didn't compare to gaara's now 5'10 structure "you certainly didn't have them before you left for weeks without a word, like you always do!" 

"I'm not seeing your point." kankuro challenged Gaara "guys come on let's not-" Temari stated "didn't I tell you to shut up Temari" Gaara glared, wincing, Temari backed down, "I said not to speak to her like that!"

kankuro gripped gaara's collar, grabbing kankuro's wrist, Gaara pulled him off easily "I am saying that you two avoid me for years and runoff for weeks, months even! and now you suddenly act like an actual sibling who cares huh!"

Gaara shook with anger, all these years he yearned for his siblings to treat him normally once again but a part of him resented them for years for treating him the way they did, all he wanted to do is protect them

after all, he was just a kid put into a situation no child should be in, he made a decision a child shouldn't have made, he was only a kid who didn't know any better

"we were both so busy that's all!" kankuro fought back "too busy to spend holidays, birthdays and celebrations with me!? yeah, some brother you are asshole" Gaara shoved kankuro off of him 

turning to walk to his room he stopped at the voice of Temari "cant we..just start over? we're both very sorry Gaara.. I just want my younger brother back" her meek voice squeaked out, Gaara frowned deeper " i don't know." was all he said before disappearing into the dark staircase

a knock was heard at the door, Gaara sat up from reading his book as he sensed it was Aizawa and all might, gaara's body disappeared in sand and reappeared in front of the door, startling Temari who was about to open the door 

"Gaara-" "I got it" Gaara mumbled before opening the door and to be expected, there stood Mr. Aizawa and some skinny guy "why are you here." Gaara plainly asked he was in a foul mood after his fight with kankuro 

"and whos the skinny guy" Gaara glanced at all might but he didn't know that "..ah right you were on the verge of death, this is all might," Aizawa told him, Gaara stared at all might intensely, all might awkwardly smiled

"..yeah..right" Gaara gave a look of unamusement "that doesn't answer why you're here" Aizawa cleared his throat and stared at Gaara, sighing he let them in, they both noticed how blank the home looked, along with the tense aura

 once they sat down on the living room Temari left the room to bring them tea "well since the..situation, UA is offering the first years to move into the dorms which wouldn't happen till their second or third year but they think it would be more safe if they move into the dorms this year"

Gaara hummed and Temari came back and set the tea on the coffee table and sat next to Gaara, in which he gave her a glare. Temari flinched and moves closer to the arm of the couch, this caught both Aizawa and all mights attention but they didn't mention anything

"well as you know, all we have to get is your guardian's permission-" "that won't be needed, I agree" Gaara cut him off, he didn't need their permission "what? no Gaara you cant!" Temari turned to Gaara

Gaara sneered at her, Temari trembled under his deadly glare "shut up Temari, you dont have any right to speak" Gaara stared at her before all might spoke up "young Gaara! that is no way to speak to your sister"

all might frowned at him but Gaara didn't care "she doesn't deserve the title of my sister, and ill speak to her in any way I want" gaara's mood started to get worse, his hands started to shake in anger ever so slightly but Aizawa caught sight of it

"it doesn't make-" all might went on but was stopped by Aizawa "all might. let it go." Aizawa looked at gaara's hands and facial expression in a way Gaara wouldn't notice, the former number one hero caught on and looked at Gaara more closely

both of gaara's fists were clenched shut and shook, along with his shoulders, his facial expression looked as if he would kill. all might shivered and nodded, Gaara took a deep breath and calmed down a little but was still in a foul mood 

"alright then, its settled, and everyone will move in during the week" Aizawa informed and Gaara nodded before leading them to the door "ok" he then shut the door on the and went back to his room without a second glance towards Temari

once the two pro heroes were back into the car they let out the breath they were holding, "that home..it was so unwelcoming and tense" all might muttered and Aizawa nodded in agreement "the emotions coming off of Gaara was.."

"it was as if it was doubled..I dont know how to say it but it was as if there were two distinctive emotions, one his own and the other.." Aizawa trailed off, all might thought back to the beginning of the year 

"at the beginning of the year, young Gaara did mention his quirk was a being who had a mind of its own, that it lived inside of his mind" Aizawa snapped his head at him "and you didn't bother to say anything?!" 

"you do know this can make gaara's emotions unpredictable! who even knows if the being inside him ever wants to get out...that's if it can" Aizawa muttered 

"We have to watch Gaara more closely from now on"

hey sorry for not updating but here's a chapter.

I know it may seem as if Gaara hadn't changed and in a way he hasn't, although some of his mindset is changed, he's still the same angry Gaara. I'm not going to change Gaara into a brand new person as no one changes overnight, I'm also not gonna make his upbringing so smooth and easy as it really doesn't happen. I like to use some of my characteristics in Gaara as I relate to him in a way. ii dont forgive easily and really no one does.
