the tension in the air was thick. as much as she hated to admit it eris loved it. for years that's what she lived off of, the thrill of the chase. eris helped save half of the universe and if she didn't at least try to help, they lost for nothing. as they neared tiamut she could only hear tony's voice in the back of her head repeating.

"show them who you want to be and let your actions speak louder than your past."

it's what he told her after wanda had gotten into her mind when they were fighting ultron. wanda sent her to a dark place that day, one that had her shaking when they got back onto the ship. steve tried to comfort her when she felt she shouldn't be on the team anymore, but tony's speech to eris gave her hope. hope that one day she would be given as much respect as the rest of the avengers.

sersi, makkari, druig, and eris left the domo and neared the erupting volcano.

"it's time to put a god to sleep." sersi said nervously looking over at druig. he nodded and started twisting the bracelet phastos had given him.

"if i can't do this," druig said grabbing eris's wrist. "i want you to know that i'll love you for eternity."

"for eternity." eris smiled weakly looking up to him. he smiled back and didn't look away as he twisted his bracelet.

eris watched sersi and makkari do the same with there's. she shook slightly as she twisted hers and she waited to see if it pulled her power. she couldn't help the grin cover her face as her suit glowed and she was lifted off the ground. all her nerves seemed to vanish when it was confirmed she really was an eternal.

after a moment eris's could hear the rumbling vanish letting her know that druig was doing it. suddenly eris was dropped from the sky and she looked over to druig who rolled on the ground from ikaris's blow.

"i should have done this five centuries ago!" ikaris yelled grabbing druig by the throat. eris's feet didn't even touch the ground yet when she saw this happening and adrenaline rushed through her body when her toes grazed the dirt.

"ikaris!" eris yelled warning him but he flew up in the air and threw druig into the earth. eris went still as ikaris shot his beams at druig.

"DRUIG!" eris yelled and makkari let out a loud cry. eris took deep breathes as she started to get the familiar feeling in her body. the one where she would black out and kill anyone who got in her way. her body started going numb as it started to hit her that he had just killed druig.

they watched as ikaris flew over to the domo and beamed it in half. eris couldn't move, still in shock, as she watched it fall towards her. makkari grabbed her wrist and ran her to safety. makkari ran off to grab thena and phastos but eris kept her eye on ikaris, her next target. ikaris landed in front of them with a stern look on his face.

"druigs gone." he stated. "it's over."

"is it?" eris asked menacingly feeling the cosmic energy forming at her finger tips.

"what are you going to do? stop me?" ikaris taunted making eris smirk.

"no." she grinned as she watched his face drop. "i'm going to kill you."

energy shot from her hands sending him flying across the beach. makkari took that as an advantage as she grabbed him and ran him in the rocks. eris was ready to join but she was stopped when the volcano erupted and boulders started flying at them. she blocked them by throwing up shields around herself and sersi.

"eris!" sersi yelled grabbing her attention. eris turned to sersi who hadn't taken her eyes off of the volcano. "i need to get closer to tiamut. distract ikaris."
