Chapter 19. Bothersome shadows

Everything had drastically changed at Hogwarts and in the lives of the seven boys. Jaemin had completely discarded his relationships with the six others and was only spending time with those everyone now knew as death eaters. Well the six boys thought that Jaemin did that, the real Jaemin was still locked in a room in his fathers mansion as he had been the past month when everything went to shit.

Renjun spent time mostly with Lucas and his mate while Jeno was left to wonder in his own sorrow about what happened to them.

Chenle and Jisung only spent time together, trying to cope and understand why their friend group had split up like this and why Jisung's step-father would want to do something like this.

Mark and Donghyuck still spent time together, though less than before as Donghyuck had befriended another Hufflepuff named Lee Felix. Mark wished for them to be closer again and Donghyuck tried to distract himself from his feelings for Mark by staying with Felix. Nothing other than friendliness had happened between them since their kiss on Christmas and Donghyuck lost his hope and thought that his love was unrequited.

The changes at Hogwarts were so much more than only the snow melting and the weather becoming warmer. Headmaster Lee had gone somewhere, no one knew where, and had been replaced by a snake. Well not a real snake, the students that weren't a part of the death eaters called him that. The new headmaster was a tall, lanky guy with a very pointy nose and bushy eyebrows. His hair was rather long as it went past his shoulder and he kept it tied at the back of his neck. He always wore a robe with silvery and green details, not only that but he showed favouritism against all Slytherins especially those who bore a mark on their forearm. Most teachers hated him, but they couldn't do anything as he had been assigned a role above them. Mr. Snake didn't hesitate to use his superiority in conflicts, sometimes even flicking out his wand at students who definitely had less experience than him with magic.

Times for the students of Hogwarts had changed too, them being placed in a ranking system. Those with a death eater mark got to do almost whatever they pleased while those who came from a muggle family got treated very wrongly. This was evident from all the 'mudbloods', as they were called, limping around and having at least one visible wound.

Times were bad at Hogwarts and out in the wizarding world, Mr. Na and his army of death eaters were taking over and those with magic skills born into non magic families lived mostly in terror. Shadows loomed over the world of magic.

"Let me out you fuckhead!"

Jaemin kept banging on the door. He had been vocalising his anger everyday for as long as he had been trapped there, which was about one month. He knew what his father was doing and could feel how Renjun and Jeno drifted further away from him every second. Even if he wasn't a werewolf himself he still had that bond with both of the others, and he was angry. Angry at himself for not being there and fixing their situation and completely livid at his father for destroying his life and the life of most wizards and witches in Korea.

"Just let me out of here and I'll agree to join your plan!"

Jaemin didn't want to but he had to. He wouldn't be let out otherwise.

The door opened a few seconds later and a guard stepped in. He was smirking towards the boy and gestured for him to reach out his arm.

"That was fast."

Jaemin was deep in thought while he reluctantly reached out his arm. The sting from being marked ripped him out of his wandering thoughts and he hissed in pain. As soon as the mark was done he ripped his arm out of the hands of the guard and inspected the area.
