Oneshot about tom and peri

Authors note peri goes to Tom's so they can spend time with Steph and after they put her to bed they talk about how they still have feelings for each other.

Peris POV
I've just arrived at Tom's, I'm really nervous not because of Steph, but I'm starting to really fancy Tom again. We watch a movie and play games, Steph gets tired so me and Tom decide to put her to bed. We're sat on the sofa, Tom pours me a glass of wine, he looks at me and says " I can't believe she's going to be seven this year", I reply " I know, I haven't been much of a mum to her, I'm so sorry, I had no right to put you in the position I did". He hugs me looks at me and says " pez it's fine, you weren't reddy to be her mum, I think of that decision every day, if I could have had you both I would and I still wish we could be a family ",
I look at him and say " Tom we can, I'm starting to really like you again, if you wanted to we can try again, I'm ready to be a proper family, as your girlfriend and stephs mum, I would even move in to make it work".

Tom's POV
I can't believe peri likes me again, I still fancy the pants of her, I look at her and say " pez, of course I want us to be a proper family more than anything ", we kiss. We continue to kiss, I take her up to my room, I'm home alone stephs room is next to mine, we go into my room and peri says " I want to have sex with you again Tom, but not when she's in the next room ". I look at her and say "I agree, she'll have nightmares about it for weeks, but we'll deal with them together", I lend her some tracksuit bottoms and a hoodie for her to sleep in, she thanks me and then we get into bed and kiss a bit and fall asleep hugging with her head on my chest.

Back to peris POV
It's the middle of the night when I hear Steph crying, and knocking on the door, I get out of Tom's arms and open the door, she looks at me and says " mummy , an angry man tried to take me", I get to her height and kiss her and say " Steph I promise you me and daddy will never let that happen, why don't you sleep with us for the rest of the night". She nods and I pick her up and put her between me and Tom, this is all I've ever wanted and I'm so relieved Tom gave us another chance.

Back to Tom's POV
I wake up to see Steph and peri in my bed I'm so happy for us to be a proper familly, soon I get Steph dressed for school. Pez is still asleap so I decide to make her breakfast in bed, Lilly comes in and says "two breakfasts, either you're hungry, or you had a special someone stay over last night". I here foot steps coming from upstairs , Lilly goes to the stairs and says " oh my god no way", I look at her and say " we decided we wanted to be a proper family last night and none else knows not Even Steph". Lilly smiles and says " my lips are sealed but I'm so happy for both of you,( she hugs both of us) and pez I'm expecting the details at work with cleo( the three of us laugh)". Ounce she's left peri comes in and says " was this supposed to be breakfast in bed", I nod she kisses me and says " guess we should head back upstairs"she takes the teas and I take the toast. After breakfast I look at pez and say "
I'm home alone until we collect Steph together", she smiles and says " Tom Cunningham I love the way you think". We kiss and rip each other's clothes off, after we done it, we're naked under the covers and peri covers herself up I look at her at her and say " peri lomax don't ever hide your beauty ever again". She looks at me and says " my mums offering to pick Steph up and we can tell them both together", she immediately realised what she said and looks extremely guilty. I pull her into a hug and say " pez it's okay, they would've loved you and steph, I know I was only 4 when they died but I still remember them", pez looks at me and says " I'm so sorry babe, I would've loved to meet them and I know steph would've adored them". After leela picks steph up she brings her over to mine and we sit them onhe sofa, peri says " we've got something to say to both of you". I look at Steph and say " steph sweetheart, last night me and mommy decided we wanted to be a proper family, that's why she stayed over, if thats okay with both of you". Steph is so happy she hugs both me and peri, pez looks at lella hopefully " I guess I better start packing your things, I'm so happy for both of you", she hugs both of us.

At the hospital lunch break
Back to peris POV
Cleo looks at me and says " how are you and your new man going", me and Lilly look at each other and laugh. Misbah and cleo are very confused, a beautiful bouquet of flowers arive for me, I say " let's just say it's someone you both know, we may have gone all the way and it fells so good to be able to call him mine again". Cleo says " no way you two were loves young dream, when you were together and you have Steph together". Misbah realises who she's talking about and there both so happy for me, lunch finishes, and I get a text from Tom saying " hope you enjoyed the flowers, it only felt right to give a beautiful women a beautiful bouquet".
