The van had pulled up in front of Taehyung's house. Everyone started filing out of the house, luggage in hand. Taehyung's parents walked out behind them, prepared to say their final goodbyes.
"Andrea, it was a pleasure meeting you. Please, come back to Korea soon and make sure to come see us when you do." Taehyung's mother hugged her new friend, both women tearing up a little.
"I'm not sure when we will be back, but I'll be sure to put a visit to you in my itinerary." Mrs. Shepherd smiled at her friend. "Thank you for everything. We had a lovely time."
"Please, come back any time." Taehyung's dad shook hands with Mr. Shepherd. "Thanks for leaving me the book."
"Hey, now that I know you like them, maybe I'll send over some I've already read that I think you might enjoy." The two men chuckled and took the luggage from the women, walking it out to the van.
"Come here, my son," Taehyung's mother said, pulling her handsome son into a tight hug. "Don't be such a stranger. Come see us when you can. I miss you."
She moved to hold his face in her hands. "Ahhh, my handsome boy! I'm so proud of you."
She reached up and kissed his cheek, hugging him once more. "You better take care of that young lady," she whispered in his ear, making him smile. Then, stepping back, she let him go and turned her eyes to Jenna.
"Jenna, dear, please, take care. Thank you for loving my son. I wish you two all the happiness in the world. It was a joy to meet you and get to know you a little. Come back soon, okay?" She hugged Jenna tightly.
"Sara, thank you for coming! Thank you for taking those beautiful pictures of these two," she said, smiling towards Jenna and Taehyung.
"It was my pleasure to do so, ma'am. It's easy to take photos of people who are not only in love but also beautiful," Sara said with a smile, turning away to walk to the van.
Jenna blushed because of her friend's compliment. Taehyung nudged her with his shoulder and smirked.
"Okay, everyone! Load up!" Jenna's dad waved his arm at the stragglers and jumped into the front seat.
Taehyung could have sworn he saw a look of dread spread across his manager's face, and he had to struggle to hold back his giggle. He opened the van's side door and saw Yoongi sitting in the same spot he rode during the first leg of the trip. He looked over at Taehyung and nodded.
"Hyung! Good to see you," Taehyung said happily, crawling back into the back seat with Jenna close behind him.
"Yoongi! Did you have a good visit with your family," Jenna asked with a smile, settling into her seat. Taehyung reached across her and pulled her seatbelt across her body, clicking it into place. She smiled sweetly at him and winked.
Yoongi watched the couple. He was happy for them and glad they were together, but he wasn't about to let it show too much. He would ruin his reputation for sure.
"Yes, it was a good visit," he said quietly, pushing his earbuds into his ears. Sara and Mrs. Shepherd climbed into the seat in front of him and settled in.
"Mr. Yoongi! You look well-rested! Was it a good visit?" Mrs. Shepherd turned and smiled widely at him. "It's good to see you again!" She reached back and patted his arm.
Sara giggled and looked back at him, translating what she had said.
"Oh, thank you. It was a good visit. And I ate a lot," he said proudly, patting his stomach.
"Oh, good! Make sure not to skip meals, young man." Mrs. Shepherd smiled warmly at him, then turned around and directed her attention to the men in the front.
