The Breath of the Sun God

Chapter 3

(Tanjiro's POV)

I sat with Nezuko and Urokodaiki and told him about the hand demon I killed at Final Selection. I am so exhausted. The fight against the demons made my body exhausted to the point that I fainted on the doorstep of the cabin. I wonder how Kanao is. Anyway, My sword is about to arrive any day now. I was training how to use consecutive, Hinokami Kagura moves. But I continue failing due to me not training hard enough. "Huh, a scent of metal. MY SWORD HAS ARRIVED!" I shouted as I dashed towards the cabin and came to see a man with a Kasa and a large box on his back. (Kasa is a Japanese hat made out of straws to help farmers not get the sun in their eyes when farming rice or other things.)

"My name is Haganezka. I forged Tanjiro Kamado's Nichirn Blade." I bowed. "Sorry, I am Tanjiro Kamado. Thank you for delivering my sword." I replied. "This swords materials are made from, Scarlet Crimson iron sand and Scarlet Ore. Both are bathed on Mount Yoko year-round. They absorb sunlight and contain the properties of the sun." "Would you like to come in and talk?" I tried to ask but he kept on talking. Then he turned towards me. "Ahhh. Aren't you the Child of Brightness?" "My parent's are Kie and Tanjuro." "No, no, no. Your red hair, eyes mean that your family works with fire, so there might be a chance it might turn red." 

Once inside I took the blade. It looked like a katana, but the handle was black, and the handguard was like a wagon wheel. I unsheathed the Nichirn sword. It turned pitch black. "BLACK?!" "My that is interesting," Urokodaiki said. "What? Does it mean something bad?" I asked worriedly. "No, no. It's just very unusual, most blade colors change depending on the user's breath style." I think it might be my Sun breathing that made it this color. "CAW, CAW. Tanjiro Kamado. Your first mission is to slay a demon in a town Northwest from here. Night after night, girls disappear." I nodded and put on my gear and set off with Nezuko.

(Timeskip to evening)

The Demon's here. I sniffed the air. "The demon is here. Nezuko, get your sword ready." I said My sister nodded. I stabbed the ground while the man behind Nezuko gasped as he saw black liquid exploding from the ground and a girls kimono floated up. A demon popped its head up when I grabbed the girl. "Here hold her for me," I asked the man. I handed her to him. "Hinokami Kagura DANCE!" I performed the first form and slashed the Demon's arms off. 2 more jumped out for other holes. "Damn, they are everywhere." "Hinokami Kagura CLEAR BLUE SKIES!" I twisted my body making two fire rings cutting off the demon's heads in the process. "DAMN! DIE YOU PUNK!" the demon jumped at me but I grabbed him and used my rock hard head to headbutt him. "ARrrrg." Then I slashed his head off. Great, they seem to not know who Muzan is and are too weak. "Nezuko, Let's go we have a new mission in Asakusa." She nodded and we left. "Nezuko, Do you think that you should stay at Urokodaiki, I don't want to see you hurt." "Brother, I am fine. Let's hurry up and get to Asakusa." "No, go to Urokodaiki. I will send you letters to inform you what I have been doing." "Fine, but I will train and join you after I complete Final Selection."  I waved as she left for Urokodaiki. "CAW, CAW. You are to join Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hasibira for this next mission." 

(Timeskip)

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHH. GET AWAY FROM ME YOU MONSTER." The yellow hair boy who I suspect is Zenitsu and the boar head kid Inouske. "Oii. Let's get to work." I shouted. The two followed me, and we chatted and became friends easily, though Inouske had problems remembering people's names. WAIT! A SCENT! "HEY, WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" Zenitsu asked. I dashed and found a man where posh clothes. "Stop right there Muzan Kibutsuji," I said. I drew my Nichirn blade and pointed at him. Muzan's eyes were red, and he was a...
