Chapter 10

(Tanjiro's Pov)

We found Kanae and Sanemi after the attack and told them about the attack. "Damn, They have gotten to hitting our main sources lately, First Swordsmith village three times. Then our medical estate." Sanemi said. Kanae nodded. "Well, the attacks are more frequent. We just encountered Upper Moons 2 and 3." Sanemi spat out his tea. "What?" "Upper moons 2 and 3?" I nodded. "They managed to escape but it was due to their temple or hideout teleporting them away." Kanae was hugging Kanao and Shinobu. "Well, I suspect that the hideout base is moving around depending on where it will appear the owner or user would think about that place," Giyu spoke up after listening to our conversation. "Excuse me," I said and stood up. I walked outside and looked out over at the setting sun. I looked at my sword which had nearly killed Akaza. I sat on the roof. Will this horror in our world ever disappear. I continued to think of what would happen if I failed to kill Muzan. "Tanjiro, don't be in despair. You have Nezuko and Kanao with you. Zenitsu and Inosuke. They have helped you all this time." I heard my deceased father's voice from behind. I picked up my sword and looked at the place where I heard him. There he was standing white as a ghost. Wearing his orange and black checkered haori. "Dad?" I asked. He smiled. "Tanjiro, you have done well. Mastering the dance in our family and using it against your enemies. You certainly exceeded my expectations." I looked at him. I looked at him and my mom appeared beside me. "Tanjiro. Keep on fighting. Don't give up. You have your friends with you. Don't lose hope." She said and my siblings appeared. "TANJIRO?!" Kanao shouted. "Sorry, I have to go." I looked one last time at my family who looked happy to see me for one last time. "Tanjiro, remember, we're always with you." I nodded and they disappeared. 

I dashed off to where Kanao was standing and tapped her on the shoulder. "Kanao, geez calm down. I am right here." I said, as she spun around and hugged me tightly. "Tanjiro, we have a new mission it's in Tokyo." I looked at her and nodded and we grabbed our gear and left for our mission. On the way, a crow arrived and said that the master was even more ill due to his family's curse. "We need to hurry and get to Muzan," Kanao said. Zenitsu nodded I looked at the other four and nodded. 

We arrived in Tokyo in the evening when the lights of the city were brightest. We were climbing on the roofs and checking the streets. Bang, Bang, Bang. I looked at a building roof and see a person with a rifle. "On the roof. Take cover." I look up to see a demon with a sword. "Hinokami Kagura Never-ending Phoenix Song." I shot toward the marksman demon and sliced his neck. A black void like particle surrounded the place where I hit him. "Thunder Breathing Seventh Form: Flaming THUNDER GOD." Zenitsu slashed at the demon and killed him. "Moon Breathing Ninth Form: Waning Moonswaths." I grabbed Kanao and pulled her towards me. "Nezuko use your water-breathing forms, Kanao, use a move which has a little bit of range, Inosuke use your palisade bite on the sword wielder. Zenitsu, use your Flaming Thunder God on him to stun him, I'll use the Thirteenth form to kill him." Everyone nodded and dashed off, Kanao hit first with Inosuke, Zenitsu and Nezuko hit him with a water breathing and Thunder breathing combination. "HINOKAMI KAGURA Dance, Clear Blue Skies, Raging Sun, Burning Bones Summer Sun, Setting Sun Transformation, Solar Heat haze, Beneficent Radiance, Sunflower Thurst, Dragon Solar Head Halo Dance, Fire Wheel, Fake Rainbow,  Flame Dance." My combination hit the demon multiple times sending him to the ground and then I continuously hit him with the forms and I cut his head off twice but he kept on regenerating it. BAM! I was sent flying by a powerful kick. "Well well well, We meet again Kamado." Akaza appeared. "Thunder Breathing Eighth form: Lighting Shock During the Storm." (Lighting Shock During the Storm is a move that is continuously used until the user loses focus. It summons a huge storm and destroys everything within the user's radius.) Zenitsu slashed at Akaza and got punched into a building. Kanao attacked again but was kicked away like Zenitsu. I caught her just before she hit the building. "YOU, FIGHT MEEEE!" Inosuke shouted but was flung back into a pile of rubble. "Hinokami Kagura Benefiecent Radiance." I struck the demon in the chest. 

(Kanao's Pov) 

I got up from my knees to see Tanjiro and Zenitsu fighting, Inosuke slashing wildly around him to cut as much as possible, and Nezuko slashing alongside him. "HINOKAMI KAGURA RAGING SUN." Tanjiro repeatedly hit the swordsman with six eyes. Clash, their swords hit each other and Tanjiro got blasted back and hit a wall. 

"Flower Breathing eighth form, Blooming Undulation." (Blooming Undulation is where flower beds surround the user protecting them from any type of attacks) it hit the swordsman and helped block some of the attacks. I manage to knock his sword away but then, I got flung into a wall. 

(Tanjiro's POV)

"Hinokami Kagura FLAME DANCE!" I slashed at Upper Rank 1 and knocked him back. "TANJIRO, YOU WILL PAY FOR RUINING MY FIGHT WITH KYOJURO!" Akaza rushed towards me. "TECHNIQUE DEVELOPMENT: ANNIHILATION TYPE." HIS FISTS HIT MY BLADE. "AKAZA, YOU'RE DEAD!" Zenitsu appeared behind Akaza with a thunderbolt mark coming down from his right and left of his forehead. "THUNDER BREATHING EIGHTH FORM: LIGHTNING SHOCK DURING THE STORM!" Zenitsu slashed Akaza on the neck. I activated my mark. "Hinokami Kagura Setting Sun Transformation." I flipped upside down and together we cut through Akaza's neck. But he was still moving. "NAKIME!" Upper rank 1 shouted. Doors appeared below Akaza and Upper rank 1. Zenitsu and I were exhausted, Kanao was incapacitated, and Inosuke was unconscious and Nezuko was helping the injured civilians. I got back up and saw the marksman was also gone. I picked up Kanao, bridal style and got her to the Kakushi. Goto tended to her wounds. "Goto, Take her to Butterfly estate. I will message her sisters." He nodded and they carried her while I walked beside them. Zenitsu supported Inosuke while Nezuko was still at the scene helping the injured.

I sat next to Kanao's bed, waiting for her to wake up. Shinobu and Kanae were notified about the surprise attack. "They attacked with Upper Ranks!" Kanae said horrified, I nodded. "Their attack came when we were scouting out the area. The first attack came from a marksman. The attack started right after where Upper-Rank one also attacked. We fought until Upper-Rank three also attacked. We were pinned down and all of our attacks were fruitless until we managed to cut Akaza's, Upper-Rank threes head off. Then doors opened and they escaped, just like last time against Douma." I explained. Shinobu looked shocked, while Kanae was near to tears hearing what happened during the fight. Shinobu watched me get up, While Kanae was still holding Kanao's hand. "I will have to continue my missions due to not being injured," I said. "Please, tell Kanao to send a message to me once she is awake. I'll be off now. See you!" I dashed out into the sunset.

I looked at the town whose mission was to kill the demon lurking in the area. I sniffed around and located a demon scent in the northern area of the town. I looked at the spot to see another swordsman, his blade unsheathed. The mark on his face and eyes indicated that he was a demon. Upper Rank 6. I dashed forward, as silent as the night, "Hinokami Kagura Flame Dance." I slashed twice, hitting him on the neck and stomach, only cutting halfway through his neck. "Hinokami Kagura Raging Sun!" I slashed twice again this time missing completely. "You bastard. You're that Sun Hashira. Zenitsu always crawls behind strong people. You will perish by my storm!" The demon yelled. "Hinokami Kagura Ever-lasting Phoenix Song!" My sword was ablaze within seconds and I rushed forward my slashes slowly mimicked the shape of the phoenix. "FINAL FORM: PHOENIX STRIKE." The phoenix burned as intense as the Sun. 

(Third person) 

The Phoenix spread its flaming wings, with each flap it burns the surroundings before returning to its previous state. Tanjiro, rushed in at full speed slashing all over the demon's body. Upper- Rank six was paralyzed by surprise and fear. The power oozing from the swordsman was off the charts. Upper Rank six looked at Tanjiro for a second before realising that he was not regenerating. "NAKIME!" He shouted. The door appeared under his body and he fell into the depths of the Infinity Castle.

Thank You for reading this book. I may not be able to post as often but I will try. Lately, my activities and tests are really important so I might not be able to post. I will be taking Mock Exams so I will be updating very rarely in the coming year.
